In which there's another timeline where Y/n and Nanami are happily married
Y/n opened the door to their home, Nanami trailing close behind. They both took off their coats, hanging them near the door. They felt exhausted. They had just come from a restaurant after celebrating their 15th wedding anniversary and promptly, 18 years of being together.
It all felt like a dream. The pair was now 36 and well into their marriage, living happily together.
Y/n walked to their shared bedroom, standing in front of their full length floor mirror, taking off their clothes and putting on a pair of pajamas. Nanami trailed behind them, closing the door to their bedroom once he entered. He changed into a more comfortable pair of clothes, leading his spouse into bed once they were done.
Y/n placed their head ontop of Nanami's chest, listening to his slow and steady breathing.
"I'm tired from today." They sighed.
Nanami smiled, wrapping an arm around them.
"So am I but it was fun." He said, turning on his side to fully embrace Y/n.
They stayed still like that for a while, until Nanami suddenly spoke up.
"You know I love you, right?" He asked, looking down at Y/n.
Y/n looked up at him, confusion evident on their face.
"Yeah of course, why wouldn't I?" They asked.
Nanami looked away shyly.
"It's just...I feel like I don't say it enough and...I want you to know how I feel, how much I love you." He said.
Y/n smiled softly, lifting up their hand to cup their husband's face and leaving a chaste kiss on his forehead.
"I love you, too, Kento. And it's fine if you don't say it enough, I know just through your actions." They said.
Nanami looked back at them, a small smile slowly forming on his face.
"I'm glad." He spoke.
And just like that, the married couple fell into a comfortable, relaxing sleep in each other's arms, not ever planning on letting go as they hugged one another, just waiting for the next day in which they would surely spend together, as well as for the rest of their lives.
