"I cannot be your girlfriend, Yukiha. You have always been my sweet little brother. And also, I am already in a relationship."
"I'm sorry..."
"Ah, it's fine," - Yukiha said hesitantly. His tears were so close to pouring out.
...
"It would be best if I don't come to see you for a while."
"Yeah."
"So then, goodbye."
As she finished her sentence, Yukitsuki reaches the door that leads to the terrace. To Yukiha, the door sounds heavier than usual. Is it because of the twilight that slows this world down?
...
"Ugh, didn't think it would hurt that much."
"She already has a boyfriend? I can't believe it, why didn't I hear any of that?"
"Probably it was because I was too dull to notice it." - He mumbles as he blames himself.
"If only I can get my feeling out sooner."
"If only..."
...
"Ohoh, so this part of the story has always stayed true."
"Coming back to this timeline still causes a big interference, that's for sure!"
A distant voice can be heard nearby.
"Wha.."
Yukiha looks around, trying to navigate the source of the voice.
Somebody's here? Did they see my confession to Yuki (nickname of Yukitsuki) awhile ago?
Impossible, before coming here I have already checked carefully to make sure that there is nobody on the terrace.
And I didn't see anybody pass that door after Yuki left.
"Probably I am just imaging things..."
"Sigh, you are not THAT old to be senile, dad. Here, let me make myself visible so you can see me."
"What?"
A futuristic-sounding echo resonates within thin air itself, as is space is being sucked into by an unknown force.
Gradually, a silhouette appears in front of Yukiha.
"Daddy!! It's been such a long time, I miss you so much!"
A silver-haired girl who has a short stature, looking similar to that of a junior high school student, jumps forward and casually gives me a hug.
Daddy? Is she talking about me?
"Uhm... Who are you ?"
"Oh right, I almost forgot! This is the first time we have "unofficially" met."
"Nice to meet you, my name is Miu Tenjo, your most adorable daughter from the future, and I have traveled all the back in time to change your life for the better!"
...
And it was at that fateful moment Miu and I first met each other.
Miu, who self-proclaimed herself as my future daughter, has totally changed my life since then.
