As I lay on the beach to tan, with sunscreen on, so I don't get wrinkles earlier than I should. My friends Asher, Annalise, and Charli walk towards me as they laugh talking about whatever it is that they are talking about. Sitting up I look back at them and watch as they sit down in front of me.
"Hey love, where are you going this summer, after graduation?" Asked Charli, looking at me with her bright loving green eyes.
"I'm staying here, and working to save up for college, how about you guys?"
"Annalise is going to Paris, Asher'd going to the Panhandle, and I'm taking a week long vacation to the Keys." Said Charli happily, especially since she's going with her boyfriend Silas. Charli and Silas have been dating since sophomore year, he doesn't really hang out with us since he has his own group of friends, the popular jocks. Annalise's single, and there's a rumor going around that Asher has a crush on me and has had one since we all first met freshman year in biology. I highly doubt that though, because we all know each other so well that we treat each other like siblings.

We all sit in the beach talking, and gossiping about the people that we went to school with. About four hours later, I remember that I want to get my hair re-dyed and that I could have them come with me.
"I need to get my hair re-dyed before graduation, do any of you want to go with me?"
"Oh my god, YES." Yells Charli. "I wanna get my hair dyed silver, for a new look, as this new chapter of my life opens."
"I'll come, and just get a haircut since my hair is growing so fast, I can barely even see anymore, when it gets in front of my eyes." Says Asher
"I don't need to get anything done to my hair, but we should also go get our nails done, so we can be glamorous bees!" Annalise says loudly
Annalise is the goodie two shoes of our group, she's never had her hair dyed since she loves her natural hair color. She also wears glasses because she's to scared that if she gets contacts, the contacts would get stuck in her eyes, and she'd go blind. If you couldn't tell, she's blonde. Charli is the rebel in our group, she's down to do anything no matter what. Anything that you can think of, she's probably already done, or has it on her bucket list. She dyed her hair a different color almost every month. Unlike the rest of us, she loves to be bold, with her green eyes that are very lively and not as dead as she says they are. She can be basic sometimes too, with a Starbucks in her hand as she walks into school every morning. Along with that, she drives a jeep, although she actually goes off-roading with it. She also plays every type of guitar, from acoustic, to electrical, and even the bass guitar. She really wants us to start a band, but Annalise is too scared that Charli will influence, or peer pressure her into doing something she doesn't want to do. Asher has dark brown hair that almost look black, his eyes are very green, and looks so pretty in any type of lighting. He plays almost every kind of instrument. He's not that bad looking if you think about it, he's actually kind of cute... He can also sing with the beautiful voice that he has...
"Holy shit... you have a crush on Asher..." I say to myself while they sprint off towards the ocean to go and mess around. Once the shock wore off after a few second, all three of them yelled at me to get my add in the water, because "it feels so nice with how hot it is today". Getting up to go join them, a fairly attractive dude, running in the beach, runs up to me and asks me what my number is. Like what the fuck?
"Umm... sure I guess?" I respond to his question very confused. Why would someone ask me for my number?
"Cool, what's your name?" He asked, generally pleased that I said sure.
"My name is umm... Diana... Diana Knight..." I say as I type my number into his phone. Feeling a really weird thing in my stomach as I did so... OH MY GOD... no no no, this can't be happening. I'm having butterflies in my stomach, why?
"What about you mister?"
"My name's Ace, Ace Levisay." I've never really felt this way for anyone, like yes, I've done things with guys, but with the feeling that this, Ace person is making me feel, is strange. I don't know if I like it or not. With a confused look on my face, realizing and asking myself why is such an attractive guy talking to me?
Asher runs up to me protectively, asking me and the dude, Ace what's up.
"Nothing, just asking a- oh crap sorry dude, is she your girlfriend?"Ace asked looking kind of dissatisfied.
"Yes." Asher says, while I say not at the same. Asher and I realized what he said I looked at him as he blushes from embarrassment.
"No, we aren't." I correct Asher, as I look back up at Ace who is staring down at me with confusion, since he's  about a foot taller than me. I'm about five-eight, while he looks about six-six. With my height, I'm muscular as much as a "tall/medium" person can be, since I workout a lot, play sports, and run every morning with my sister.
"I umm... think I should go." Ace says as he starts backing away to keep jogging down the beach.

Watching Ace run away from me, once he gets at a far away distance that I know he wouldn't be able to hear me, I turn to Asher and tell "what was that? We aren't together, and we would never even happen, it would just ruin the group and our friendship."
"So they can get used to it, I want you to be mine and only mine, I want a future with you, children, I want to see you waking down the aisle towards me."
"Bro slow your role, that's never going to happen, you know that Charli likes you and that if you and I ever became a thing it will ruin the friendship. That's final." I say as I walk away needing a break from that conversation. I needed to get away from this situation before it got worse.
"Why doesn't he see all the cons to us dating and being together, you don't even like him like that." I think aloud to myself then reply, "Exactly he's just being selfish and controlling."

When I back to my Jeep Wrangler, I wash myself off with water from a gallon of water to get the sand off of myself. I put my towel over my seat so that it doesn't get really wet and smell that bad in the jeep. I bring out my vape to calm me own, all of my friends vape, but not out in public, unless things get really bad, but we almost always carry them with us. I roll down the windows, so that the jeep doesn't hold the smoke. Before I pull out of the church parking lot, I turn on my Spotify playlist and turn the volume up to fifty. As I'm on my way home, I jam and sing along to the music, whiles taking hits of the vape to help me calm down.
