Chapter One

"10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1... SUMMER" yells the whole class.
It's been a year since my mother, Ramona Knight, died. Before she died, she gave me a book that I can not open. It's irritating me that I can't open it, but at the same time I miss her so much that if I open it I might ball my eyes out. Although she told me to keep it hidden from everybody, and I don't know why.

        After all the students left the room, I walked up to Mrs. Tomer, my English teacher, and thanked her for everything that she has done for me this school year. Once I thanked her, I walked to my sister and I's meeting place, where we go after school, so we can go home together. I started heading there and trying to find my twin sister, Belle Knight. For being twins, we never spend much time together, we like to have our lives separate, and we surprisingly get along really well. To my surprise, she's not there. She's always there before me. I walked outside to see if she's by my car since she's too scared to drive herself anywhere. When I get outside and to my car, she isn't there which worries me, I get into the driver's seat and just sit there thinking of where she could be.

    "Where are you?" I say out loud to myself, "she probably went home early since she had a bad feeling that was making her nauseous. I started driving home, which is twenty-four minutes away since we live in a big house on the countryside. After about thirty minutes, since today's traffic was terrible. When I drive up the driveway, and park in-front of the house, I turn my car off and lock it. I grab my house keys that are on my keychain, and unlock the door. Walking in I call out, "I'm home...", no answer. They must still be out... I'll just go to my room and read "Valiant" by Lesley Livingston, which is one of my favorite books to read. Reading books is my only escape from reality, it lets me forget what my life is like, and live in another world, their world. It lets me forget about what happened to my mother.

        When I finished reading, I went to take a shower, since my dad and sister aren't back yet. For me the worst part about taking a shower is that my brain always finds a way to wonder to my mother. Once I finished getting ready for bed. I sat on my bed, hugging the other last thing that my mother gave me, a doll. The doll was of a fairy, with long red hair, bright blue crystal eyes, and has fair skin, the doll also stands at about a foot tall. I held her close to me as I started to cry, the memories that I gave with my mother flashing by. Graduation is in a couple days, and she won't be there to see me and my sister walk across the stage.
"I need some ice cream to end this crying session." I thought to myself aloud. After I got ice cream from the fridge down stairs, I got back to my room, to start watching "Legacies" with only two episodes left of the second season. Once I finished the season, I turned off my television, putting the finished ice cream bowl in the sink of the downstairs kitchen.

        While downstairs I hear a loud clashing sound of something that fell in the direction of my room. I ran into my room to find something frolicking around on the floor. Screaming my head off at the unknown, weird looking thing on the floor, with the object also screaming looking like it saw a ghost.
"Wh—who the he—hell are you?" I shouted to the creature in the floor only realizing who it was. "I'm Jupiter, a fairy. Who are...oh my goodness..." Jupiter says a little above a whisper, "You... you're Diana Knight. The last time I saw you was when you were really little. Back then I was your imaginary friend, your mom turned me into a doll to be your guardian angel, more of a guardian fairy... any who back to the point now. Your mom sent me to you, because she knew that you were special and would need help later on. We thought that your powers were taken away... I can't believe that you still have them-"
"This can't be happening, this isn't real. My mind is just really really exhausted." I say aloud while heading to my bed, so I can stop seeing things.
"You're a little ruder than I remember." Said Jupiter
"I AM NOT JUST IN YOUR MIND... I'M... I'm real." Jupiter said sadly, "I can do heel clicks" she says as she jumps up and clicks her heels together creating a little clicking noise as she did so. Ignoring the "fairy" so called "Jupiter" I realized that my dad and sister aren't home yet. So I got my out my phone, which I don't use much. I don't really like to use my phone since I believe in personal connection. Once I got my phone from my backpack, I turned it on. Seeing that my sister had a softball tournament for the school team, that I totally forgot about, and that her and my dad are going to be staying in a hotel for the night Vince they have a game tomorrow. The realization of it being quiet hit me, it was way too quiet in my room. "So my mind was playing tricks on me," I thought aloud. I started walking to my bed to go to sleep.

    When I woke up I got up to go for a run, changing into short running shorts, a bright blue sweatshirt, and my all white, with a little bit of black running shoes on. I walked to the bathroom, put my platinum blonde hair in a ponytail to get out of my face. I looked in the mirror and realized that I need to get my hair re-dyed since my brown roots are growing out. I looked at my face specifically my eyes, which are a bright prominent blue, just like my mothers. I also need to go and tan at the beach again for graduation. I grab myself a water bottle, keys and wallet, before I start heading down the stairs, when I reach the bottom I walk straight to the kitchen to get a protein shake to drink before and after. As I walk into the kitchen I see a big mess and look at the criminal who destroyed the kitchen.
"I made you breakfast." says Jupiter happily
"NO NO NO NO NOOOOOO!" I shout in the direction of Jupiter, why is this happening to me.
"If you're real then why did my mother send you?"
"Because it's ok have powers, and you're way too strong to figure it all out by yourself."
"What power, I don't have any?"
"The reason I'm awake is because if your powers." Said Jupiter eagerly "Why couldn't you have listened the first time."
"I didn't listen because this is nonsense, why would I have powers, where would I have even gotten them?" I asked like she was a crazy person, which she is.

    "You have owners because you are a witch, your mother was one too, she was one of the most powerful witches in history. You are more unique than we thought because you actually have powers. When you and your sister were in the womb, one of the almighty witches wanted all you and your sister's powers to herself, since you two could have easily over thrown her. In the middle of her spell, your father killed her with one of your mothers weapons that was passed down from generation to generation, it can kill any witch no matter how powerful they are. It unleashes their power into the world. When she was killed no one knew where all that power went. Until now, the powers in you Diana, all if it is in you, making you now the strongest witch ever. All the power from your sister was already taken, and was in you so it'd be easier for her to take without wasting her magic, so when she died it must have gone into you, abs not back to your sister."
"I need to go on a run and process all of this." I say as I rush out of the house to get air and away from Jupiter.

    When I first got there to the beach, it was five thirty-seven in the morning. When I finished running, it was six fifty-nine. With my sister gone at her softball tournament, I had to run by myself. I walked back up o my car to change into a bikini and change, guess who was sitting there, you guessed right the annoying little thing called Jupiter.
"What don't you get about needing to process all that information that you dumped on me."
"The fact that you shouldn't be along while taking all this inform in."
"Let me change and I won't be along, how did you even get in here?"
"Well along with being able to fly, I can teleport to any location." She says
I get out if the car saying "I'll let you know when I'm done processing and want to talk. Now poof away and let me have my peace." Oc she disappeared I changed and got out of my car grabbing the things bedded like my towel, phone, keys and wallet. My keys and wallet I put in a lock box, that only I can get into that's in the outside of my car, for when I go surfing. As I start waking back to the beach, I text my friends and tell them to meet me at the beach to hang out. Once I get to the sand, I hear my phone buzz we I walk toward the beach. The buzz was from my friends telling me in our group chat that they're on their way.
