Draft 1:

I'm sitting on my bed in my bedroom.

I've been feeling weird these past few days.

Everytime i use mana there's a strange feeling in my chest.

But i can't tell what it is.

I've tried healing myself but that strange feeling won't go away.

I want to talk to mom but i don't want to worry him.

This has been happening since that incident at school. Do you think this is what it meant when it said it already did what it came to do? Archer asked.

I tilted my head.

But it's not like I'm in pain or anything. It's just a strange feeling.

He was also confused.

I stood up and gathered mana.

That strange feeling appeared in my chest.

I kept going and increasing the amount of mana.

My breath hitched when the strange feeling turned into a sharp pain.

I immediately dispersed the mana and dropped to the floor.

FAINE!! Archer yelled alarmed.

I gripped my chest tightly.

The sharp pain kept spreading in waves through my chest.

I took deep breaths and channeled mana through myself trying to heal the pain.

It wasn't working.

I dropped to my side and clenched my eyes shut.

A small whimper escaped my lips before i could stop it.

It hurt so much.

MOM!! I heard Archer yell through the mind link.

I felt him jolt up immediately.

He appeared near the door a second later.

"FAINE!!" He yelled and ran upto me kneeling infront of me.

"What's wrong?" He cupped my cheek.

"My.... Chest..... Hurts...." I managed to get out.

He channelled mana into me.

The pain slowly faded and my body relaxed.

He pulled me into his arms.

I snuggled close to his chest and sighed.

"What happened? How did you get hurt?" He asked.

"I just gathered mana... There was a strange feeling at first but..... as i started gathering more and more mana..... it turned into a sharp pain...." I answered softly.

He frowned.

Before he could say anything, the door burst open and Felix and Falynn ran in.

"What happened?" Felix asked.

"Did you two not feel anything until now?" Mom asked.

They slowly shook their heads.

"We just now felt weakness from him. So we ran here." Falynn.

Felix nodded in agreement.

Mom frowned again.

He turned to me.
