The English test went well, or so they all think.

Jared is confident that he passed the test and he's sure that his friends did as well. After all, he and the girls spent quite a while studying for that test.

Allie personally didn't care how she did, she has a B in the class and unless she got a zero on the test it wouldn't hurt her grade that much.

Brittany has an A in the class sitting at a 99% and is hoping that she aced the test and got the extra credit question right to bump her up to a cool 100 in the course.

Caitlyn, like Allie, isn't too worried about the test but is wondering why Jared hasn't asked her out. Or any girl for that matter. Is he worried or scared they'll say no?

On B-days in school, like today, the girls shared first lunch while Jared was on second lunch. They spent their time looking at the government-supplied lunch wondering how this was supposed to be nutritious while talking about their classes.

"Honestly, when am I going to need to know about JFK's New Deal or whatever they're called?" Allie asked. She had full intention of becoming a professional soccer player and hopefully be on the same team as her idol.

"I'd usually say there's a good reason to know that stuff," Brittany said while picking at her potatoes, "but even I have to admit that some of this doesn't seem super helpful."

"Seriously," Allie continued, "like, why do we need to know how Hamlet died outside of English?" She took a bite of her meat patty that was supposed to be country-fried chicken.

"And speaking of English," Brittany looked over to Caitlyn, "Did Jared hold your hand in the car this morning?"

"No," Caitlyn sighed. "I don't get it, that's the whole reason you two have been carpooling to our study sessions. To get us alone in my car so he'll make a move."

"We've offered to tell him how-" Brittany started to say.

"No!" Caitlyn just about yelled. "Don't do that!"

"We're not going to, because you clearly don't want that," Allie said. "But what if we try something else this afternoon?"

"What do you mean?" Caitlyn asked. Brittany also looked over inquisitively.

"He's shy, doesn't want to make the first move, and he's never asked a girl out."

"You think he's gay?" Brittany asked.

Caitlyn swallowed. "I hope not."

"No, no. I'm not saying that," Allie raised her hands. "I mean he could be, but he doesn't talk about boys with us so I'm thinking no. I'm just suggesting that maybe he's a bit submissive."

"What is that supposed to mean?" Caitlyn asked.

Allie smirked. "Just that maybe he wants to be the girl in the relationship. You know, have someone else take the lead."

"You mean have me ask him out!?" Caitlyn looked shocked. "I can't do that!"

"And why not?" Allie countered. "Look you like him, he probably likes one of us. And I know it's not Britt or me. He's always glancing at you. He likes you, Caitlyn!"

"She's right," Brittany confirmed.

"I still don't want to ask him out," Caitlyn stated again.

"Ok, then we stage an accident so you two have to skip the movie after our shopping trip," Allie said while typing on her phone.

"What are you doing?" Caitlyn asked.

"I'm telling Jared he's coming to the mall with us after school and then the movie after."

"Why?" Brittany asked. Caitlyn felt better knowing that Brittany was out of the loop as well.

"Look, we've all wondered what Jared would look like if we dressed him as a girl, but we've never done it. What if we did that today?"

Caitlyn and Brittany's jaws dropped open.

Allie laughed. "I'm pretty sure he's wanting to be the girl in the relationship and follow a leader. Caitlyn, you can be that leader."

"Even if he is, what did you say it was?" Brittany asked, "submissive? That doesn't mean he wants to dress like a girl."

"No, it doesn't. But we want to see what he'd look like, and if he was submissive it would be easy to make it happen." Allie smiled, getting more and more excited with this idea. "Plus, Caitlyn, you were the one who mentioned he'd look cute in a dress a few months ago. Now admit that you still want to see it." She nudged Caitlyn.

It was true that Caitlyn thought that Jared would look cute as a girl. In fact, and the girls didn't know this, she had bought a white floral dress in Jared's size and hid it in her closet in case she and him ever did get together and she could talk him into a dress-up session. Just thinking about him wearing the dress and kissing his lipstick-covered lips made her blush.

"I knew it!" Allie slapped the table. "You do want this!"

In that instant, Caitlyn decided that Allie's plan might be the only way to get him in that dress since Jared wasn't going to ask her out. "What do we do?"

Allie grinned darkly. "The first stores we'll have to hit are Aerie and American Eagle. They're right across from that little book store that Jared can hang out in while we get what we need."

"Which is what?" Brittany asked.

"I'm getting there, patience girl." Allie sounded like their history teacher when he got interrupted mid-lecture. "We'll need at least one pair of panties for him, though I'd recommend more." She winked at Caitlyn, who turned a deeper shade of red. "We'll also need a pair of jeans that would fit him, this is important for step two. I'd also recommend a bra and a t-shirt while he's at your house, Caitlyn.

"Wait, what?" Caitlyn seemed surprised.

"Your house is step three, but let's look at step two first. Step two is go to the food court for dinner or a snack or something. The important thing is that we get a drink and spill it on his lap."

"I guess I can do that," Brittany interjected. "You've come up with this wild plan the least I can do is spill a drink."

Allie nodded at her. "After the drink is spilled, we'll talk him into changing clothes. We'll have a pair of panties and some pants for him. Step three is Caitlyn takes him to her house after the mall to wash and dry his clothes since we ruined them we might as well clean them. Caitlyn's house is perfect for this for two reasons. First, her parents are gone so there won't be any strange questions; and second, Caitlyn is who we're trying to set him up with. Two birds, one stone!"

Allie sat back and crossed her arms, looking quite satisfied.

Brittany looked impressed. "If you put that much effort into your classes you'd be an A student."

"But why? That'd be a complete waste of my talent. I just need to maintain a C average to keep playing soccer."

Brittany rolled her eyes. She glanced at Caitlyn, who had her hand on her chin. "You alright, Caitlyn?"

"Let's do it," she said looking up.

At that moment the bell to go to third period rang.
