I'm tired of living with demons cause they always inviting more
Aahnsty sat on the couch in the cold hospital room looking at the newly painted walls. She patiently waited for him to wake up as she made sure she had all her notes right. Aiden had dropped her off on his way to work so she was gonna ride the subway back to the house. When she checked her phone this morning she saw the message telling her that he was in the hospital and she was on the list to come help him study.
She had talked to the principal and convinced him to let Mario take the exam once he got released from the hospital. He was shot in the abdomen so they had removed it during the emergency surgery and gratefully the bullet only hit his kidney. She sat there thinking about everything that had he happened in the last 24.
"Back to the usual" she said shaking her head, she had learned that Destinee was gonna be staying with their aunt in Nola this summer so she knew once she got home she needed to pack her bags up. She called her little sister knowing she would most likely be outside playing like always. "Hello" she said sitting on the curb, "I was calling to check on you" Aahnsty said. "I'm okay honey what about you" she said smiling. "I'm doing good. You excited to go to Nola" she said making her shake her head yes. "Okay well I'll be at the house in a lil while to pack your stuff" she said and they hung up.

Aiden came in the house with plenty of presents in his arms. Tomorrow was graduation day and Aahnsty's birthday, the way the school had stuff planned out was weird. Senior Prom and the senior trip was after graduation, "
"Hell happened to your lip" Aiden said as Devan and Carter ate left overs from the others night. "Long story" he said shaking his head. "They got yo eye to cause yo shit purple honey not gonna want you to as her prom date" he laughed. He chuckled texting her for the 50th time today and once again no answer. "In still hungry" Devan said looking at his sister location, "fuck she at".
Devan called his sister and she answered on the 3rd ring "hello" her soft voice said as she walked across the street. She had been there for over 3 hours helping Mario with the work. Then she made her way to the gate.
"You almost done" He asked "I'm on the way" she said going down the stairs to the subway. "Hurry up cause we ordered seafood" Carter said "I'm cool I already ate" she said mentally noting that she would have to deal with him when she got there.
"Can you start packing Destinee stuff, I got somebody coming to do my hair tonight and makeup for senior pictures in the morning. I'm going to the hospital at 12:00 then I got graduation rehearsal at 3:00 and graduation at 4:00 so I'll catch a Uber there" she said running her hands through her curly hair. She hadn't had heat in her hair since she was 7 so she was ready to see her growth. "You sure you don't want no food we got enough" he said as she sat down on the subway. "I got food when I got my outfit" she said holding up her dress and jumpsuit.
"How far away are you" he asked sitting on the couch. "I'm 5 minutes away from the stop then I'll be up the street" she said tiredly. She was mentally and physically tired, "you good" Devan asked as she texted somebody back. "Yeah I'm straight" she said. Devan folded the clothes and put them in the suitcase.
"G What happened to your face" Aiden said laughing, "your sister got mad and punched me" he said shaking his head, "damn I'm not even gonna ask". Aahnsty had hands but she was gentle and didn't let people get to her so whatever he did he deserved the consequences. "Aahnsty" Destinee yelled at the top of her lungs making them go outside to see what was going on.
When they went outside they saw aahnsty and Destinee hugging. "I missed you girl" she said hugging her tightly, the delivery woman had just rode up giving the food to Aiden. "Go wash your face and hands so you can eat" she said as they went in the house. "Let me see what you got" Aiden said grabbing at her bag, "you gonna like it" she said smiling as Devan came down the stairs. "I'm glad you home I missed you" he said hugging her, she pulled out two white jumpsuits.
