Chapter 4 - talking is tough

It never failed Todoroki at how surprised he can be by Bakugou. Today he came into Todorokis room and pointed at a small bok. a sign language one. Todoroki has already known it, though it was a bit foggy. when he was far younger his father made him take it as an after school class. so he already slightly knew it. 

'why do you feel the need to learn? ill manage. though this is very kind of you.' He said, or rather, signed. Bakugou had never realised how pretty and pristine Todorokis hands were. but now he truly got to admire them, seeing as he had to watch them to understand what Todoroki was saying. Though, Bakugou got overly distracted and had to ask Todoroki to resign what he said, which Todoroki happily obliged.

"who said it was for you half n half? for all you know I could be learning it jst to learn!" Bakugou huffed and turned away, slightly embarrassed to admit he was doing it for Todoroki;  who chuckled at Bakugou's stubbornness. 'im sure you are, sorry for misunderstanding' he signed, playing along to his little act of embarrassment. Bakugou sighed. "have you been able to see anyone? besides your family from yesterday I mean." 'yes actually. when I first woke up if the only time i saw others besides you, my mother and siblings. kirishima, mina, momo and ojiro where there. but they had to leave as soon as a doctor came in.' "so basically, besides then, no one else has visited you since you woke up?" 

'I guess you could say that. but everyone is stressed right now over others, or people who haven't woken up. I do not blame them for not having time, or being too sad or stressed to want to...' Todoroki paused. 'But you've been visiting. so I don't mind their absences.' He smiled warmly at Bakugou. "y-yeah well...! I don't have anything better to do so- don't flatter yourself!" Bakugou's face turned almost as red as his eyes. Todoroki chuckled again at him. 'you're funny, Bakugou.'

Bakugou smiled back at Todoroki, happy he could lighten his half n half mood. it was always a hit or miss when trying to make Todoroki smile. Bakugou was glad he could be a hit. his attention was brought back when Todoroki tapped on bakugou's shoulder and signaled him to pay attention. 'Bakugou- how are the others who fought with us? Like Uraraka, tsu-' Bakugou dreaded the next name he knew he was going to ask for. '-and Midoriya?' 

Bakugou felt his soul leave his body. "ah- the others. Uraraka and Tsu are awake and up and going. since they were not in the direct fight and were helping more with evacuation and recovery, they managed to get away with sprains and bruises-" '--and Midoriya? he was in the direct fight. He over used his quirk and took a lot of hits. I want to visit him soon and talk to him-' "Deku- Midoriya... hasn't woken.. up yet.." Bakugou mumbled sadly. He knew he shouldn't have told Todoroki, the nurse said so. But if he hadn't told him now he would possibly keep pestering Bakugou about it. That was just Todoporkis way.

'ah..' Todoroki looked down. possibly trying to hide his pained expression from Bakugou, to keep him from worrying. 'thank you for telling me. how is his condition?' "Its not great. but he's Midoriya. he will wake up. so don't worry about it!" 'ok. thank you bakugou. your visit was appreciated.' "my visit was- wait are you trying to tell me to leave? Damn half n half if your sad about the news just say so!" 'your visit was appreciated' He signed again. at this point Bakugou saw small tears falling onto the bed sheets. "Todoroki.." Bakugou sighed. 'thank you bakugou, your visit was much appreciated-' Todoroki was interrupted by Bakugou putting Todorokis hands together, and holding them with on hand, and using the other to place gently behind Todorokis head and pulling him into a light hug.

"what is it with you and trying to hide shit. your awful at it." Bakugou grumbled, trying to lighten the mood. Seemed like stress caught onto Todoroki again; building up up up up and up until one piece of news breaks it down and causes a flood. So it wasn't surprising how emotional Todoroki was being compared to how he usually is. small hiccups could be heard from todoroki, trying to keep as quiet as possible as he cried into Bakugou's chest. half wanting him to leave, and half wanting him to stay. 

This just went to show on how mixed Todoroki can truly be. guess his 'half n half' nickname had more than one reason.
