Bakugo's POV:

I haven't let myself process everything completely yet, I can't. I know I'll break down. I can't afford to do that when the nerd is trying to stay strong for me. I have to do the same for him. It's an unspoken agreement to deal with all this later, together.

We finally get to the police station. It was a struggle to not think about what had happened, but Zuzu rubbing my knuckles with his thumb gave me something to focus on. I wondered what he saw in the sky outside his window that was so intriguing.

The officer sitting shotgun got out and opened the door on Zuzu's side. The nerd seemed out of it so I nudged him.

"Hey Izu, we're here." I used another one of his many nicknames, knowing that he would notice the small shift. He did, and he gave a a small smile as he started to climb out of the car. His hair is a mess, his clothes are wrinkled, and his eyes are red, but that smile was beautiful. No matter how small it was, it still brightens up every room.

"You haven't called me Izu in forever, Kat."

"Unlike you, I have more than just two nicknames for you. Izu, Zu, Zuzu, Zuku, Nerd, and my favorite one, Mine." I smiled at Izu cheekily as he went red.

Now that he was out of the car I climbed out behind him and grabbed his hand. He already knows I want him to be my future Omega, so he can't be surprised that I lo-like him.

"I like the nickname Izu the best... Zuzu makes me sound like a baby. I'm turning 8 soon, right? I'm no baby!" Izu looked at me with a grossed out expression, and despite everything that has happened today, I chuckled.

Operation Distract My Omega was successful. I can say this because now we are waiting to enter an office to talk to someone named Detective Tsukauchi.

"If that's what you want, Izu. I don't care what you call me, just know going around calling me Kacchan all the time makes you sound like more of a baby then me calling you Zuzu." I looked at the officers out of the corner of my eye. They didn't seem to be paying a whole lot of attention to us. They were talking to a few other officers a few feet away. Other then those few officers, the department was pretty empty.

Izuku huffed, "Well I like calling you Kacchan. I like calling you Kat too, but I'll use that when we are older. I want to use 'Kacchan' as much as I can while you still let me." My poor nerd yawned, not used to staying up this late. According to the clock on the wall beside us, it was 9:24.

"Alright nerd, I know you're tired, but we got to stay awake, okay? We can't sleep here." I said, pulling him in for a hug. I felt Izuku immediately relax against my chest, and it took everything I had not to croon.

All of a sudden the office door we were waiting outside of slams open, introducing us to very concentrated angry Alpha pheromones, and said angry Alpha himself. The man was spewwing curses over his shoulder and waving his fist in the air. I subconsciously put Izu between me and the man, my hands ready to send the bastard sky high if needed.

The Alpha looked down at our small frames. "What the hell do you pups want? Stop fucking staring or I'll make you!"

I started growling, and surprisingly Izu was growling as well. I guess that's what happens when you threaten two kids.

Luckily the man doesn't follow through with his threat, just scoffs at us and moves on.
