Aurora Park allowed her thumb to hesitate over the blue arrow button on her phone. She had been hesitant to follow Rae's advice, considering the idea was quite bland compared to her Mission Impossible-esque approach to the subject. It wasn't that Rory didn't trust Rae, because she did. The problem was that Rory wasn't sure how to approach Val.

In all of their years of friendship, Rory never had trouble in opening up to Val and talking about their issues. However, something about this situation felt different. She couldn't exactly put her finger on it, but it made her nervous.

Foot tapping across her hardwood floor, she finally mustered up the courage and pressed send.
