Nothing To Lose (One Direction Fan-Fic)

Mysterious encounter

The rain fell in little rivulets down the windows of the small cafe.

"Miss, I'm sorry but It's closing time." She said gently.

I nodded and walked out into the pouring rain.

It was peaceful, somehow. I guess it was better than hearing my dad screaming.

The soft pitter-pattering of the rain falling onto the concrete was like a sweet luliby humming its own creative tune.

The air was damp. The concrete path was mossy and green.

Something bumped into my side.

"Oh, sorry miss." He said as he looked up.to greet my eyes.

They were a mesmerizing blue. His blond hair had patches of dark brown making his hair an almost dirty blonde.

We stood there for a while, looking at eachothers features.

Someone cleared their throat from behind me, I suddenly realised what i had been doing. My cheeks turned a dark shade of crimson as I turned around to face the intruder.

It was a face I'd hoped to never see again, a face that still haunts me in my sleep.

"Dad?"

"You better come home right now miss!" His eyes flashed anger, he looked murderous!

I turned and looked at the boy with pleading eyes. My eyes swelled up with tears as i mouthed 'help me.' He took one glance at my dad, his face was now red and he took a swing at my face.

I felt a hand clasp around mine. We ran and ran, he opened the door of a car gesturing for me to get in. I obliged. He closed the door behind me then ran around to the drivers seat and hopped in.

"Thank you." I said.

"Don't mention it." The boy replied.

"I'm Sylvie." I said warmly smiling at him.

"I'm Niall." He replied.

"Niall Horan."
