One- The start of something new

Chapter One

Beep, Beep, Beep

I roll over in my bed and check the time. 7:00. Ugh. Today is my first day of school, and I am terrified. I just moved to Sydney because my parents had their jobs relocated. It really sucks! I had to leave all my friends and now I'm starting year 11 with no one. Well, actually, the only good thing or should I say great thing about moving here is that at the start of the year my boyfriend Jessie moved here, and now I get to be with him all the time. I'm even going to the same school as him. He doesn't know that I moved here, I thought I would surprise him at school today.

I get out of bed, take a shower and stand in front of my closet to think of what to wear for school. Ok, so I'm not a bad girl but I'm not a good girl either. I've had my fair share of detentions and visits to the principal's office, but not enough trouble to be put in the bad girl category.

At my old school I had my three best friends Robin, Alex and Austin. Austin is my twin brother Cody's best friend, but still my brother and I are super close. We are all in a kind of group and Robin and Alex are dating. I still Skype them every day, and they will be visiting us in a couple weeks, so it's all good for now.

I finally make my mind up and get dressed and do my makeup. I then go across the hall and knock on Cody's door to see if he is ready yet.

"Cody you ready yet?" I yell through the door.

"Yeah." He says as he come out of the door. Then we head downstairs to grab some breakfast.

"Morning" my mum says to us.

"Morning. We're going to get going now I'll see you tonight?" I reply.

"Ok, good luck. Your father and I have a night shift so we won't be home until late. Love you."

"See you later than bye. Love you too!" We reply.

The problem with having parents that are doctors is that they are never home. I grab my sunnies, a hat and my purple penny board while Cody grabs his and we head off to school. We get to school and make my way to the front office where we were told where to go on the first day.

"Hi, I'm Cody Jackson and this is my sister Charlie. It's our first day here."

"Oh hi. I'm Rebeca and here is your timetables and your locker numbers. Have a nice first day guys."

We walk out of the front office and head to the lockers we were assigned. 624 and 437. Great.

"Ok well I'll see you at lunch then. Have a good day CJ." Cody says to me and gives me a hug.

"You too Cody." I let go and we went to find our lockers.

About two minutes later I get to my locker and put my stuff away. I then look at my time table and see I have homeroom in room 25. I look around but then realise im lost and I try to ask for help but everyone just ignores me.

"Hi, I couldn't help but notice you need some help." I turn around and see a really pretty girl standing in front of me.

"Yeah."

"Here let me have a look. Oh you're in my class. We have the best teacher. She is so pretty and all the boys love her which is kind of weird. Her name is Ms Belle. Oh! I'm Imogen by the way, but you can call me Gen."

"Hi, I'm Charlie."

"Well Charlie, follow me!!"

I follow Imogen to homeroom. I start to feel uncomfortable when all the students stare at me as I walk into the room and I can hear people whisper but I can't hear what they are saying. The teacher, Miss Belle, turns to me and smiles. Wow Gen is right, she is really pretty.
