It has been five years of bondita and anirudh's wedding. And bondita has just completed her matric exam.
In the evening
everybody was sitting on the hall room of rc Mansion and talking to each other then someone knocked at the door. Bihari goes to open the door and saw that a postman has come.bihari took the letter from the postman and gave it to anirudh. Anirudh opened the letter and started reading and he was all over the moon. He didn't believe in his eyes what he has just read.
"Whose letter is this anirudh"? Asked kaka in curiosity.
"Kaka this letter is from London's kings University where I had posted Bondita's marksheet and applied for her admission. Now they have sent me an approval letter. Now Bondita could go for her higher studies and become a 1st woman barrister in Tulsipur". — Uttered thrilled Anirudh.
Anirudh turned towards bondita and held her hand with ecstassiness and said "Bondita you are going to take another steps of fulfilling our dreams".Although Bondita didn't understand how to react because she had completely oblivious from Anirudh's decision to sending her london.
Indeed she was happy but deep down she was upset too for leaving her house.
"Bondita will not go anywhere". Screamed ksj in rage.
Bondita get back into her senses when she heard ksj's voice.
"Why not kaka"?? Inquired Anirudh
"Have you gone crazy Anirudh?? How could you even think of that I will give the permission to send our bahu to london"?? Exclaimed ksj in rage.
Kaka what are you talking?? Why Bondita can't go?? What is the problem if she goes to london for her further studies?? I had also gone there and now I wanted that bondita would follow my footsteps and become a barrister like me in future and will make an inspiration for other girls of our society. —Said Anirudh confidently.
"Have you lost your mind Anirudh??? Bondita is not only your wife. She is the bahu of Roy Chaudhary khandan. Have you forgotten"?? Said kaka in a loud voice.
"I haven't forgotten anything kaka. you have forgotten that i had married to bondita to save her from getting sati. and i had promised her mother that i will take care of her and will make her be able that much so that one day she will question to this society and will demand her rights" .
And this is my another steps of making her more Powerful and independent which i have taken for her bright future. Bondita will surely go to london. - Anirudh
"What do you want Anirudh.why don't you kill me once. what will society say?? First you wanted to educate bondita. I had given you permission and supported you too but now this time I will never allow you to send bondita far away".— kaka
"I haven't any fear of this society kaka. Bondita will go to london and will fulfill our dreams". Uttered anirudh.
Kaka went to his room and Anirudh went to his study.
At night after dinner in Bondita's room.
"Where have you lost boudi"?? Inquired batuk to Bondita.
"Nowhere batuk. you say why you have come here ?? What do you want"?? Said Bondita
"Woh boudi mjhe na tumhare signatures chahiye thein" ( Actually boudi I wanted your signatures. ) Batuk to Bondita.
''Batuk what you have done now"???? Asked Bondita.
"No boudi nothing actually my teacher has suspended me for 1 week. Please boudi signed the letter and don't tell anyone in the house specially dada please boudi for the last time".—said batuk trying to be innocent.
"Okay batuk. But If you will not improve your habit then I will definitely tell to your dada. And batuk you will have to do a work for me in favour of this help".— said Bondita
Thank you boudi. Yes boudi I will do everything whatever you say. After all It is a chhote zamindar's promise.
By the way Boudi why didn't you tell me that soon you are going to london for studies?? Would you forget that we are friends too??
I am also unaware of this batuk. Pati babu didn't tell me too. I am very angry with him.. said Bondita hiding her tears.
"Means boudi you don't want to go ?? Right".— Inquired batuk.
"I don't know batuk. I am ambivalent about leaving my house". Said Bondita.
