The classes went on smoothly. It was mostly the introduction part. Many of us already knew each other from before. So it wasn't awkward either. The town of ours was relatively small. It had only three major high schools. Though our town was equipped with digital culture, yet it was a small place with peaceful people. Almost everyone around here knew each other. Almost all the kids grew up knowing each other. So making friends wasn't that hard. In fact i know almost everyone in my class, expect a couple of new ones.
It was noon when our classes ended. Three of us started getting put together, talking about various things. The hallway now was even more crowded than the morning. As i reached where the fight took place before, i remembered about Ian. Recognizing him still made me surprised. He was always so silent and a slender looking boy, who would've thought he'll become a problematic kid growing up.
"Hey, do you know what happened with them? What the headteacher said that about them fighting in the hallway??" I ask Ema. Though Ema was my best friend and we were together most of the times, yet she had a large connection. She knew many news. "Ian is in the A section," Ema says. Oh, I thought. "I heard he got off without any punishment. Though none can say for sure. He's quiet a secretive guy." "Hmm" i hummed.
In our elementary school, we used to so various co curricular classes as drawing, music, swimming. But Ian only attended the music class. He actually sang well. But as he was a silent boy, he was that kind you'll never notice and can disappear easily. Thinking about it, i realize I never really noticed him that much before."Hey Dina!" I snap out of my thoughts as I saw a tall guy coming towards me. I look at him with a puzzled expression. "Hey, how have you been?" The guy smiles broadly. Oh my God. That's Raid. Gosh how the heck did he get so tall?
"What's with you boys and getting tall dude?? I hardly recognized you.'' i say. He laughs at me. "Hey you two, how've you been?" He asks Ema and Jennie though he was looking at me. They reply him with a "I'm fine" and "Good".
I wasn't really that eager to talk with him. But he continued to talk. "So which section are you in?" "I'm in the C section." Oh too bad. I'm in the A. I wanted to be in the same class with you!" He says with a dramatic sigh. That actually made me laugh. That guy was funny, but that's when he wasn't being annoying. He would've contained even more but Ema saved me. She grabbed me and Jennie and said, "It was really nice meeting you. We have to go fast our mothers are waiting for us." We stormed out from the hallway barely giving Raid time to say something else.
"Bro you just saved my life" i say to Ema. I was really grateful even though she lied about the parents part. We were going home alone, but that didn't matter at least we were free from Raid. "He was being annoying ya know" we all laughed at that.
Now don't get me wrong. Raid wasn't a bad guy. Infact he had always been good to me. I get that he has a crush on me ever since elementary school. But I wasn't thinking about going into any sort of relationship or anything. I just like being alone with just my besties. I just didn't want to fall for anyone in particular. About Raid,I was happy to be his friend, but being more than that wasn't my intention. We parted our ways on the way and head to our homes. It was an exciting day. Except I didn't know what happened to Ian. But that wasn't something I get worried over.
