The Story Of Their Daughter (Steggy fan fic)

"You almost got it?" My dad whispers to me as he is watching the door. 

"Almost," trying my best to rewrite the system to the safe. Click! I got it! I slowly open the safe expecting to and explosive weapon or something. Instead I just see a bright green stone. 

"We came all this way for a rock?" dad said sounding annoyed. 

"I'm sure it's not a rock, just look like one" my voice going up because I'm very confused. Bang! Down goes the door. Without even thinking I grab the green stone and put in one of my vest pockets. I turn around to see uncover hydra soldiers. 

"Give it up Captain," 

"I don't think that's going to happen," then dad lunges towards the soldiers as I do the same. I jump on top of one get on top of his neck and his my body weight to throw him down to the floor. I turn around and kick another one right in the stomach. 

"We have to get out of here now," I say then we both start to run. We past a room that says documents, "Hold on," then I go into the room and go right to the letter J. 

"Carter what are you doing?" I'm too focus to replied I let my eyes keep scanning the names on the files. James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes I read then grab it as fast as I can. "Carter what did you just take?" I can tell my did is getting annoyed with me now. 

"I'll show you when we get out of here. But trust me on this one dad. Please," 

"Of course I trust you," I couldn't help but smile. We run out of the room and go up to the roof, where Stark and my mom are suppose to get us from the helicopter. 

"There they are!" I yell pointing to the helicopter as we got up to the roof. Bang!  Oh great not again more soldiers.  Before I even knew it my dad pick me up and throw me towards the ladder hanging from the chopper. 

When I get into the copper my mom gives me a look then says, "Did your father really just throw you?" 

"Maybe" I said. Before she can say anything else I had her the file with Bucky's name on it. Her eyes become very wide as she looks at the paper, "Show it to him just you two. It will be easier for him that way," I see my dad get up on the copper and my mom hides the file behind her. 

"Did you really throw your daughter towards the chopper?" 

My dad laughs, "It was the ladder and it was only like 3 feet," then I start laughing. 

"My god what am I going to do with you two. You guys are going to give me a heart attack-"

"That's their job Peggy," Howard said interrupting my mom, "Prepare for landing!" 

Once we were on the ground Howard and I went into the lab to look at the green rock or whatever it was. As my mom was outside with my dad talking about Bucky. What if he just dead? And I just grabbed a random old file. Yet it doesn't make sense why Hydra would keep old files on an American solider.  

"What's wrong kid? You keep looking up the stairs," 

I look at Howard not sure if I should tell him, "Um, I found a file that my mom is showing my dad right now," 

"About?" 

I took a deep breathe, "Bucky," 

Howard just started at me for a second, "I'm sure it will be okay kid," I smile then as I move my arm the green rock falls off the table and a piece of it breaks off. 

I grab the broken piece, "It looks like an emerald,"

"Ya it does, wait hold on a second," Howard goes over to his desk and pulls out a small box. When he opens it I see a clear locket, "I was going to give it to Maria but I found something else I think she would like more," 

I hand Howard the piece of stone and he puts it in the locket, and it looks just an emerald necklace. He puts it around my neck, "It's very pretty," 

"It's yours kid, you were the one who got it,"
