Hunter

I ran out of school, took my spaghetti-covered shirt off, and went straight to my-shit-Tay's car. Screw it, the beach isn't too far. I jogged on the basically empty road to the beach. My heartbeat keeping pace as I ran. Why is Tayler dating such a dick? Why is she mad at me for beating up...her boyfriend...

"SHIT!" I punched the wall beside the sidewalk and that did nothing but piss me off more.

I picked up my pace and the sound of the waves became louder and my mind started to relax. I always came to the beach when I needed to calm down or think. I slowed down once I got to the entrance of the pier. The wind gently blew on my face and through my hair as I made my way over to the end of the pier. I looked around and there were little kids chasing birds, couples sitting on the benches or watching their kids and the three fishermen I had come to call my family, down on the end of the pier.

"Well, well, well! Look who it is boys, with no shirt I notice." James, the old man with dark, worn skin and light green eyes that had crows feet on the sides from smiling and laughing so much, said to the other two.

"Good to see you too old man." I replied, a smile making its way on my face.

"Which one broke your heart this time Bruce?" Alfred asked.

He called me Bruce because when I was little, I was obsessed with Batman and thought that Alfred was the real Alfred from the comics I read, despite having no accent or way to the batcave. He still teases me to this day. He had tan, wrinkly skin, deep blue eyes and enough love for the world.

"This time I think I broke hers." The smile on my face slipped away and I sat down on the edge of the pier looking out at the ocean that glittered with the afternoon sun

"Tayler?" Mary said with a sweet but sad tone. She was no man but she got right in with two of them with her wits, jokes and fishing skills. She was the palest of the three with light, hazel eyes that always had a mischievous twinkle in them. Alfred then handed me an old hoodie that had the logo of some old fishing club.

These three had become like family to me as the years went on, Im closer with them then my own parents.

Mary sat down next to me and James held her pole.

"What happened dear?"
