Lily Collins

"Are you sure you're going to be fine...?" Dianna asked for the hundredth time.

"Yes, Dianna. I'm going to be absolutely okay."

"Well, okay then, shall we?" Dianna assisted.

Yes, the awfully long night of my horrific birthday hasn't ended just yet.

And I told my best friend, Dianna that I need to go back to kitchen service.

And that I'm going to be just fine, of course.

I, with Dianna, went back to the big kitchen and got back to work.

"Hurry up! Chop chop! Fifth course needs to be sent out right now! The guests in the private hall are hungry!" The service lady shouted from the main kitchen doors.

"Pssst, isn't the private hall where the prince and the others are dining?" Dianna asked.

"Yup." I nonchalantly replied.

My eyes are still swollen from all the crying I did.

I was busy sauteeing some weird colored expensive thing when all of a sudden--

"LILY!!! THE PRIVATE HALL CALLS FOR YOU TO SERVE THEIR FIFTH COURSE." The service lady shouted, signaling me to go.

"Wait, what??! No..." I said, shivering.

Both Dianna and I locked gazes and Dianna says,

"I'll take it! Lily isn't feeling well--"

"No, your royal highness demands for Lily to take it in."

I clenched my fists and gritted my teeth.

That damn witch really wanted to mess up my whole life, right?

Not to mention--

I don't want to see the prince right now....

I really don't...

After all the crying I did, I don't think I'm ready just yet.

"Like I said, she isn't feeling well!!" Dianna shouted once more.

"I'm sorry... I'm just following orders..." The helpless service lady says.

"It's okay. I'm going." I interrupted.

Dianna faced me and she was going to say something but I cut her off.

"I'm going to be fine."

I sighed, walking towards the main door, taking the huge cart of the fifth course from the service lady and taking in a deep breath.

I faced Dianna one last time and saw her mouth a "Sorry".

I smiled at her and decided to just get this over with.

I'm just delivering this food and I'm out.

That's it.

Besides, that awful prince probably won't even remember me talking to him!

Yeah. That's right, my make up's off so he wouldn't even notice me.

I slowly walked towards the long hall.

It seems as if destiny is playing with me tonight.

As I reached the private hall's door, my knees felt wobbly.

Calm down... you're just going to deliver food... serve them and get out.

*Creaks*

"Ohohoho! Just in time!!! Our speciale, King Crab in Foie Gras and Caviar sauce just arrived!!"
