Yunhee awoke, immediately feeling the plush sheets around her body.

It was comfortable that she didn't want to get up... until she remembered that she didn't fall asleep surrounded by absolute comfortness.

In an instant, she jolted up, eyes scanning the area. She saw herself on the bed with two empty spaces next to her.

A panic stirred through her body as she began to think of how mad Haechan would get at her for sleeping in his bed without permission. She swore to herself that she slept on the couch but now she was thinking herself to be delusional.

Right when she was about to get up, the door bursted open, revealing Haechan carrying Kyungsan.

"I swear I didn't mean to sleep here!" She immediately said and Haechan rolled her eyes while Kyungsan giggled.

"I'm not here because of that. I put you there, idiot." He told her and she let out a small 'oh'.

"I'm here to tell you that there's breakfast downstairs. Dont know if you have work and don't care but it's better to eat." He said and left the room right after.

A small smile appeared on her face, realizing he had cooked for her too. Maybe Jaemin did help them after all.

Suddenly remembering that she had work, Yunhee scrambled to get her phone which she accidentally left in her pocket and checked the time.

A sigh of relief was breathed out when she realized she wasn't late and got up to start getting ready. She may not have been late but she would be on the verge of it if she didn't start readying herself right then and there.

In an instant, she went downstairs to get clothes from her boxes, not even bothering to say a 'good morning' yet.

"Why is Mommy going so fast?" Kyungsan asked from his high chair, leaning closer to Haechan as if it were a secret.

"Your Mommy's gonna be out." Haechan explained as he fed the toddler who pouted.

After finally getting ready and tying her hair up in a ponytail, she went downstairs again to get some breakfast.

It smelled so delicious and as soon as Haechan handed her a plate, she served herself a decent amount and was about to get to eating until Kyungsan began interrogating her.

"Mommy," he began, catching Yunhee's attention.

"Yes?" She asked in return with a sweet tone, wanting to know what the boy was curious about.

"Why are you leaving? Are you leaving me and Daddy forever?? Mommy do you not love me??" He asked, panic in his body at the thought of his mother never returning. He was supposed to bring his parents together and if she left, it would be impossible for him to do so.

"I wish she would leave forever." Haechan muttered silently, not letting Kyungsan hear and didn't intend for Yunhee to hear either but she managed to and truth be told, it hit her heart like a bitch.

She bit her bottom lip, wanting to prevent herself from tearing up at his words and causing a scene right then and there that would possibly annoy Haechan even more.

"I just have to work, sweety. I'll be back in a few hours." She told the toddler who kept a pout on his face but nodded his head in understanding. At that, Yunhee finally began eating.

It surprised her that Haechan was that good of a cook. She didn't know he could make such good food but then again, there wasn't much she knew about him. He was practically a rude stranger but also her soulmate.

Haechan watched in slight awe at how much she enjoyed his food. In his opinion, his cooking was mediocre but for some reason, Yunhee loved it all.

She looked up from her plate, meeting his gaze and gave him a thumbs up, indicating that she was enjoying the food. When she saw he didn't show any sign of emotion back, her head went back down, remembering how he said he wished that she would leave together.

Getting told hateful comments from your soulmate hurts, physically and mentally. However, the person being told the words isn't the only one who gets affected.

Haechan too felt himself hurt when he said that. He felt like he meant it and he knew he hated her and was confused as to why it hurt him to say it. It was like a pang in his heart and he gritted his teeth at the feeling, trying to show no emotion. Once again, he failed to realize that it was the soulmate effect taking place on his body, punishing him for saying words like that to his soulmate. He was supposed to fall in love with her but man, Haechan is stubborn and he himself knew it.

Yunhee continued to eat her food in silence, once bright mood from the food diminishing after remembering his words.

Haechan felt slightly guilty, realizing that she may have heard him when he said those words but shook his head at the thought. There's no way she could hear it... maybe.

Not too long after, Yunhee finished her food. With a sign, she got up and placed her dishes in the sink before beginning to wash them.

After putting her clean dishes away, she made her way to Kyungsan, not wanting to talk to Haechan as his words still lingered on her mind.

She gave the toddler a quick peck on the cheek, making the boy giggle slightly.

"I'll be back later. Be good for your dad, okay?" She told him and he nodded with a smile.

Not even bothering to say bye to Haechan, she walked towards the front door. Once she opened it, Haechan went after her, grabbing her arm and forcing her to turn around.

Her gaze averted up to his eyes, an evident hurt being seen and Haechan knew it.

He gulped down the lump in his throat and grabbed her hand, placing something in the palm.

Yunhee inspected it, realizing it was a key and she furrowed her brows. Not what I was expecting she thought to herself.

"It's a key." He told her.

"I know." She replied, closing her palm and placing the key in her pocket.

"It's cause I don't feel like having to open the door every time you knock. This makes it easier for the both of us to avoid each other too, sorta." He said, continuing to put up his rude front to her.

Yet again, she felt the same pang in her heart but didn't want to make it evident that he was hurting her so she pursed her lips instead.

"Thanks. I'll be back later then." She said and turned back around, ready to walk out.

The door suddenly slammed behind her, startling her and once she turned back around, she saw the door shut closed and the lights in the kitchen turned off.

With a sigh, she began to make her way to work, thinking that she may have another problem on her hands there too.

"This is gonna be a difficult job." One of the people sighed out as he looked at Haechan, seeing his dead mood rise up when he was alone with Kyungsan.

"Haechan is stubborn but we won't give up."

"As much as I dislike Yunhee, I have to agree. They're soulmates, bound to fall in love."
