Once in their dream...

The Lady of dreams

Kai started her walk, wanting to get away from the loud noise that was coming from the bar she worked at, as quickly as possible. It was a nightmare working there. The main problem; it was full of men. She hated men, ever since her mother told her stories of how she was fooled into falling in love with a man, who later left her with a child, and baring another. For a younger woman, who was a lot prettier. That story mad her blood boil, and she swore never to love a man, not even if the world depended on it. Kai breathed out, heavily. She couldn't get lost in her thoughts again, not after the last time, she had fallen into a muddy puddle and her dress got ruined and it wasn't even hers, it was her sisters. 

Kai had two choices, go the long way or the short way. The long was was beautiful, and had an amazing lake, and the short way... well most people took that route to get home fast, and she didn't really want to deal with them tonight, so she choose the long way, making sure to walk faster than normal, hopefully getting her there a bit quicker. The moon shone as she walked allowing her to see the path in front of her, she listened to the sound of the forest as she walked, maybe she would allow herself to get lost in her thoughts.... maybe just this once....

Kai had a very... lets say strange imagination, as some would call it. Instead of princes and money or fame, she imagined a cottage, far away from all people, where she could be happy and herself, but the most important part of this....dream, is a girl. The girl of her dreams, and she knew that was stupid, two girls? In love? It was absurd, outrageous. If anyone found out, they would be killed. Burnt. But who would right? This was in her head? Only a mind reader would be able to find out, and Kai doesn't believe in them.

In her dream, she was dancing and laughing with the girl, their hands interlocked and music all around them, it was like they hadn't a care in the world, like it was just the two of them. Now and Forever. She loved the ending of the dream as well, after they dance, they lay on the grass, hands still locked, and the girl looks over at her, and she looks back, you could see how deep their love for each other was by just looking in their eyes.

Once she finally snapped out of her thoughts and her dreams of that girl she realized how close she was to the lake, and how fast her heart was racing. She smiled to herself, and decided she would stop and have a look at the lake and see if the fish were out- 

Then she saw her. Standing in the lake, wet and beautiful. Kai's heart fluttered, as she watched the beautiful girl swim. She decided to get closer, she wanted to the the girl better, and like that, she stepped on a branch, her weight causing it to snap.

Suddenly the girl turned around, shocked. Her eyes meeting with Kai.
