Two Old Best Friends

I wake up in the morning to see that my curtains are open and I moan loudly because I don't want to wake up.

I grab my phone and I see 1 text message from Nate.
*text messages*
Nate- I'm picking you up @ 5 so be ready
Effy- Why?
Nate- Because I feel like a douche for what Carmen did to you so I'm taking you out. Be Ready.
Effy- See you later

I walk into the bathroom and look at myself in the mirror.I looked horrible and smelled disgusting.

I turned on the shower and played the "Ultraviolence" album by Lana Del Rey. I washed myself up and wash my hair.
I got out the shower and blow-dried my hair so it would lay down.
When all of that was done it was like 4:30.

So I rushed to my room and grabbed a blue and red flannel, a pair of black jeggins, some brown boots, and a gray beanie.To add a little bit more I put on my sunglasses and a couple of bracelets.

It's was 4:45 and all I had to do left was do my hair. I plugged in my flat iron and started to straighten small little pieces that were wavy and I was done.

My phone ding and it was Nate saying he was outside.

"How did he know where I lived." I think to myself

I walk downstairs and hopped into the car with Nate.
"Hey." I say
"Hi." Nate blurts
"So where are we going." I nicely say
"It's a surprise." he replies
We stopped at a normal restaurant called Outback and we got a table and ordered are food.
"May I please have a Burger medium rare with no tomato and onion." I ask the waiter
"Can I have a Steak Medium Rare with a baked potato with everything on it."
"Okay thank you" the waiter says
She shoots a flirty wink to Nate and a mean glare at me.

"Did you see that." I say
"No what was it." he says
"That waiter totally has a crush on you." I say with jealously
"Well I wasn't paying attention to her because I'm to busy staring at you." he replies
I blush so hard my cheeks turn red.

The waiter came back with our food and asked Nate for his number.

He quickly rejected her offer and gave me a smile. We finished are food and got dessert and we were ready to leave.

We got up and saw that Carmen and some other boy was here to. Carmen was being flirty and giving him cute smiles.

I could see that Nate was getting mad.

Carmen sprung up and kissed him for a good amount of time to get Nate really mad.

Nate ran up to Carmen and grabbed her arm and turn her around so she faced him.
"We're done." Nate shouted
"Let me explain" she says
"Keep your explanation to yourself." he yells at her
He grabs my hand and we get into the car.

This is why I never liked Carmen when something was good she would always mess it up especially last year when she mess up my relationship.

*Flashback*
"Carmen are you home." I yelled loudly
I hear noises in her bedroom so I walked up there to go see what it is.
"Effy it's not what it looks like" my boyfriend say
"We're through" I cry
I run outside to get some fresh air to calm down.
Carmen comes outside and gives me a bitchy smirk.
"Better luck next time." she says
Why would she do this to me she supposed to be my best friend.
*Flashback over*

Nate drives me home and I ask him if he is okay.
"No." he says
"Come in my mom won't be home till next week." I say
I grab my key and open up the door to my house.

I show Nate to my room and tell him that I will sleep on the floor and he can sleep on my bed.
He says he can't make someone sleep on the floor at there own house so we sleep on the bed together.

I go into the bathroom and take off all my clothes and I put on a gigantic t-shirt that goes down to my knees.

I jump right into my bed next to Nate and he wraps his arms around my hips and I give him a little kiss on his forehead.
He falls asleep and I touch his soft skin.

I think I like Nate.

Guess what we had no school today and I'm so happy.
