Let's go Back to The Beginning

This takes place 6 years ago (Hinata is 9 years old)

Hinata POV:

6 years ago is when it all started. Mom had gotten a new boyfriend, since my dad died when I was still a baby. Whenever mom came home from this boyfriend's house, she would always look sad and exhausted.

I begged her to leave him, since I knew he had been hurting her, but she insisted she stayed. That's when I later found out she was pregnant with his child.

2 months later, before I know it he's living with us. It wasn't too terrible at first, but once baby natsu was born, it was pure hell.

That man would always come home drunk and hit my mom over and over. She tried her best to protect Natsu and I from him. We would always hide in the small closet next to her bedroom.

I absolutely hate small places now. It reminds me of the screams I heard from my mothers room, and how I tried so hard to make sure Natsu doesn't cry.

But one day my mom wasn't able to protect me.

All I remember is curling up in a ball, with Natsu under me, trying to make sure he doesn't land a hand on her. It felt like years before he stopped hitting me, with the glass from the beer bottle stuck in my back, I walked over to my mothers room to see her unconscious.

I went to put unhurt Natsu in her crib, then tried my best to pull my mom up onto the bed and tucked her in. I didn't know what to do, I was only 9 years old. I decided to take a shower, which hurt a lot, and tried to go to sleep.

A few days later, mom went missing. Luke told us she left us because she hated us for being bad kids, but I don't belive she would leave us with him. Right?
