You told him. You all told Sid to take the eggs back to where ever he found them, but did he listen to you? NO! Instead, he kept them and the REAL mother popped up and was now out for blood. Brilliant.
You scurried from one tree to the next, leaping as quickly as you could to warn your family.
"Ellie! Manny! Diego! ANYONE RUN! HI-" Before you could continue you saw the dino and froze. Everyone else around you did the exact same thing as their eyes were glazed with fear and it was so quiet that you could practically hear your heart thumping in your ears.
"Nobody move a muscle" Manny whispered trying to keep everyone calm.
She was a big beast. Way bigger than manny and he was "the biggest thing on earth" according to him anyway. The dino easily was 3 times the mammoths hight and from head to tale 5 times more so. Her claws and feet were perfectly adapted for hunting and killing anything she wanted and in that moment it was whatever had her babies.
A scream cut through the air and panic erupted from everyone in the village as the beast roared. During the chaos, you made your way to Ellie and crawled up her leg to your brothers. Crash and Eddie were a few years younger than you were, and regardless of the species difference, they were still your family.
"Everyone ok up there?" Ellie asked and let out a relieved sigh at hearing you say yes.
The dinosaur suddenly stopped in her tracks and turned her attention to a pile of rocks, and before you knew it she latched her jaw to the biggest rock and pulled it free, revealing her children and a screaming Sid.
"SID! GIVE THEM TO HER! SHE'S THEIR MOTHER!" Manny yelled, pulling Ellie alongside him.
"HOW DO I KNOW SHE'S THEIR MOTHER!?" Sid yelled back. He had the 3 hatchlings behind him in a protective manner. You'd give the idiot one thing, he sure did love those kids.
"WHAT DO YOU WANT A BURTH CERTIFICATE? SHE'S A DINOSAUR!"
"WELL, I PUT IN THE BLOOD, SWEAT AND TEARS TO RAISE THEM!"
"For a day. GIVE EM' BACK, YOU LUNATIC!" Manny yelled. He was clearly losing his temper.
You pulled your brothers closer to you out of fear, you didn't know what was going to happen but if it was something bad you could've easily taken them and ran. Another scream was heard but this time it was Sid's and when you saw the moss green sloth, hanging, tail first, from the beast's mouth, your blood went cold.
"So what's the plan here? To follow the tracks to its cave and then what... improvise from there?" You whispered to Manny as you jumped from footprint to footprint, out of boredom.
Time after time you would have to save Sid. The sloth would always get himself into situations that he couldn't get out of and being taken by a t-rex was definitely the icing on the cake.
"Put it this way. We are gonna have to make it up as we go along" Manny answered.
Manny never was one for detailed plans, as much as he pretended to be on top of things, he never really grasped the fact that he couldn't control everything. You tried to help him as much as you could but the mammoth was could be so stubborn that you would sometimes just walk away out of frustration.
Eventually, the 5 of you reached the entrance of the cave. After a quick shake to get rid of any extra snow, you skurried up Ellie's leg to get a better look at the cave.
A massive gaping hole of ice, covered in freshly fallen snow. The trees and other shrubbery that surrounded the cave looked undisturbed and untouched by man or mammal.
"Sid must be down there," Manny said, his voice echoed off of the walls.
"Well, he's dead." "Real shame. He will be missed."
The twins said. As they were about to walk away Ellie rolled her eyes and stopped the pair.
"Oh, no, no, no, no." She said. "Not so fast."
"Okay, Ellie, this is where I draw the line. You, Crash, and Eddie back to the village. (Y/n) and I will get Sid." manny said.
Without a word, Ellie continued to walk her way into the cave. A laugh escaped you for a second as you leapt from Ellie to Manny.
"Ellie... you saw that thing. This is gonna be dangerous."
Ellie was having non of it and replied with a sassy "Talk to the trunk."
"You know Manfred. It baffles me how little you know my sister sometimes" You laughed.
Manny just sighed and rolled his eyes as he followed his wife into the cave below.
The walls of ice slowly started turning into rock the further you went into the cave and an air of uneasiness lingered around you all. Whatever natural light that made its way through the Ice roof had turned blue and then disappeared as you continued deeper.
"Sid!" Ellie called. Her voice echoed down the cave.
"Oh my goodness" you whispered under your breath. You scrambled off of Manny's back to jump across the scene in front of you.
It was a giant dinosaur skeleton spanning right across a deep crack in the earth. Multiple vines and rocks were perfectly placed so that the bones could make a bridge. By the look of it, it made a strong bridge too, it had to have done to hold a fully grown t-rex.

You were on the other side of the chasm before you knew it and immediately joined the twins to avoid the baby talk. You heard something about Peaches but you weren't paying much attention until a roar was heard in the distance.
"Stay close" Manny said.
"Will do." You answered.
As you all waled closer to the source of the noise, a light shone brighter and brighter, eventually revealing a luscious landscape. Bright colours of multiple plants, flowers and fruits spanned from one side of the world to the other. The air was hot and thick with pungent smells of fresh water and wet wood. It was amazingly beautiful.
"Are you guys having the same dream I am?" you asked, completely enamoured and everyone else just as much.
Ellie chuffed at your comment. "We've been living above an entire world, and we didn't even know it."
The 5 of you just stayed there for a second taking in the radiance of the world around you.
