"Don't give up on me now, Riko. We're almost through this."

You held Riko close as people could be heard running around the neon lit grounds all around them. Each person shot at one another, projecting screams across the arena, followed by loud beeps to signal defeat.

You sat on the floor through the chaos though, cradling Riko's head in her lap as she laid on the floor. Riko's hand rested over her chest, clutching onto the heavy dying gear she wore.

Riko weakly lifted her head, letting out a faint cough,

"You, I'm done for. Just get out while you still can."

The beeping mechanism on Riko's vest flashed red, bringing blinks of light between the two as they stared at one another before the heart on her chest finally faded away. You shook her head though, placing herself upon Riko's now gone heart, letting her weeps be heard through the darkened war-ground.

Everyone soon began to notice all of the commotion You was causing and began flocking over. As the crowd grew more around the two, one of them walked forward, crouching down beside the duo,

"What happened?"

You quickly lifted her head with a smile though, flashing her lazer pointed gun at every person's vest around them, leaving no one enough time to react. In a series of loud beeps, each person's heart across their chest died out as You's point score shot through the roof, earning her a certified spot for #1 on the board.

A collection of groans echoed the arena as You and Riko got to their feet. You grabbed Riko's hand as they ran from the crowd, getting as much distance between them as they could before their jackets were activated again and they could seek revenge.

Both girls ran towards a blacked corner of the room, giggling between one another at their successful plan.

When the air was more settled Riko noticed You still grinning ear to ear. She lightly pushed You's shoulder in playfulness,

"You didn't have to be that dramatic, we're just playing lazer tag."

You placed her hand over her mouth, trying to not laugh between her words,

"Yeah, but, you gotta admit that was fun. And it works every time!"

Riko rolled her eyes but even she had to admit it was such an easy tactic to use on new people each round.

Plus, when the person with the most wins at the end of the night gets a free small pizza, it was almost like clock work for You to invite Riko every Friday to split the winnings.

With free food on the table, Riko wasn't one to judge. Even if she wanted to, the green light flashed on her jacket before another heart appeared, signaling she was back in the game and soon everyone else would be too.

"Alright, that's true. Next time though you're playing dead."

You brought her hand to her head in a salute before turning to peek her head around the corner,

"Deal, now come on, let's try and get you to be my #2 on the board."
