The lights flickered green, and you with a sea of people walked down the busy street, quickly in order not to cause a traffic jam. As soon as you stepped at the other side of the street, the lights boiled red. You had made it just in time.
Standing close to Shizou so you wouldn’t be separated, you marched forward, occasionally bumping into people as they did the same to you. It annoyed you slightly. Even if you loved watching lie brew and big cities, you hates how crowded they were. You lived in a small town before moving to Ikebukero, which was probably the reason you still had a bit of a hard time adjusting to the busy life.
With light and fast steps, you were a street down from ‘Russia Sushi’, Shizou following hot on your tail. He made sure to keep his eyes fixed on you, so you wouldn’t run off or get in trouble while he glanced away, because he was positive you’d get into something nasty if he wasn’t keeping an eye on you. You just had the air around. The air that attracted trouble. And by trouble, he o course meant that damn flee Izaya. That’s the reason he was following you around in the first place.
Yeah, to keep you safe. He had no interest in little girls. Though, taking a better look at you---
--No. He was concerned (sortha) or your wellbeing because you were the unlucky human Izaya chose to fuck around with, he was sure of it. No selfish reasons.

Speaking of selfish reasons, you kept glancing back at him, making sure he was following you. You had a strange sense of relief when you perked your head to him and saw him staggering behind you in a nonchalant manner. Surely, he was interested in you if he stuck with you. Heck, he was the one who offered to lead you home! That has to mean something!...Though your trip will soon be cut short since ‘Russia Sushi’ was just around the corner. You had a feeling that the meal will be quiet and uneventful, but more than that – extremely short. You couldn’t waste this opportunity.
Your eyes caught the flashing lights down the street, various of bubbly colors decorating one of the many street shops. Your eyes dazzled with delight, as you slowly stopped to stare. It was a sweet shop, called ‘Choko-Kokoro’. As strange as it would seem, you found the name downright adorable.
Old instincts kicking in, a determined smile made its way on your delicate face, (color) brows furrowing in concentration. Shizou stopped behind you, spearing you an annoyed look.
“What is it?” He grunted, fixing his glasses. Your head snapped to him, your whole body turning around the next moment. Your bright smile caught him off guard a bit. He didn’t really expect much energy from you, by first glances he could tell you were one of those ‘calmer-friendly-insult-me-and-i-skin-you’ type of people. What even freaked him out a bit was that the first thought that shot to his mind when he saw you sparkled, was ‘dazzling’.
‘Dazzling’? Seriously? I’m so lame…
He growled in mind, closing his eyes in annoyance, while you were pointing down the street to the ‘Choko-Kokoro’, (color) hues bouncing with excitement.
Admit it or not, even though how prideful you were, you had a weak spot for candy and cute things. They were your only weakness.
“Let’s go!” You announced, already making your way through the car full street. The lights were green, allowing citizens to walk freely for a moment before they’d be paralyzed on the sidewalks again. Quickly, you maneuvered through the cars, earning some glares and a couple of shouts your way. Shizou followed hot on your tail, almost throwing the cars away from annoyance.
He was right. Even I he turns his eyes away from you for a second; you’d get into trouble, or worse – hurt.
Patiently, you waited for him on the other side of the street, stealing glances at the pastel color lights on the sweet shop. You felt a shiver crawl up your spine, as you uneasily looked to your side. You were met with a chest. Slowly, your dulled eyes climbed up, meeting face to face with Shizou.
 He was pissed.
So pissed that he hit you upside the head.
“What the hell was that?” He growled “This isn’t some arm town you could just walk around aimlessly at.” He scolded. Your hands shot up to cover the stinging area, pouting softly, eyes casting down in shame.
A sudden pang hit your heart, as you realized something. Shizou was extremely strong. Yet his hit felt like any other normal teenage boys would, meaning, not strong at all. Was he actually…Restraining himself, so he wouldn’t hurt you?
At the thought, you gulped, looking up to meet his pissed gaze. Even through his sunglasses, you could tell his sharp eyes were throwing daggers at you.
Slowly, your hands slumped down to your sides, and chuckling softly, you offered him a gentle smile.
“Sorry” Was all you said, shaking your head.
Now this confused him even more.
You were calm. Then you were hyper. Now you’re calm again.
Women…
He thought rolling his eyes.
“C’mon, let’s go...Where ever it is you were going.” He told you, releasing a sigh at the end of his sentence. You nodded. This side of the street wasn’t so crowded, due to the fact that it was next to the park and a bit away from the main street, who was still brewing with people.
Turning on your heel, you continued to march, feeling the eerie spur of excitement in your chest as you grew closer to the shop. You could practically see your eyes sparkling.
“’Choko-Kokoro’?” Shizou read the sign above the shop, written in big frilly dark brown letters. He sighed in irritation when you nodded, deciding not to say anything, because if something did slip out his mouth – it would surely be offensive.
You barged into the little shop, the smell of chocolate and pastries greeting your nose and making your stomach groan quietly.
Stocking up on sweets wasn’t the best idea in the world, but you didn’t do it regularly, so once in a while stuffing yourself with chocolate was a good idea…Or so you tried to convince yourself as you already held a box of white star shaped chocolates in a pink box with a pastel blue ribbon tied on it.
You didn’t even realize that there were quite a bit people in the little shop, as you were too preoccupied putting candy in your basket. All the while Shizous eyes followed you, him standing next to the main entrance, leaning on the doorframe.
“Well, I didn’t expect to see you here, Shizou.” The said man stiffened, sternly tearing his hues away from you and onto the man standing in front of him. It was indeed his boss, Tom Tanaka.
Tom smiled up at Shizou, him holding a bad of chocolates in his left hand “May I ask what my favorite bodyguard is doing?”
“No.” Shizou deadpanned. Tom only chuckled. Then his head turned to the side, eyes finding you. Shizou followed his actions, feeling growing irritation.
“I saw you came with that girl.” Tom motioned with his head to you, as you excitedly picked up a heart shaped box of somesort “Keeping an eye on her?” He implied.
“Yeah.” Shizuocouldn’t help but agree “That flee almost cut her throat earlier” Shizou shook his head “The girl doesn’t deserve such a fate as Izayas little bitch.”
“At least you’re here to save the day.” Tom patted him on the back “I do expect you to be at work in a few hours, though.” He said, turning to leave.
“yeah, yeah” Shizuo waved him off.

“Shizuo-San! Shizou-San!” You called, waving ecstatic, standing next to the cashier who was already asking for payment “Can you pay?!” The same bubbly grin never let your face.
All Shizuo did was silently fume…
… But in the end, he didn’t have to pay at all. The cashier was too scared of him, so she stuttered, and I quote,: A-Ah! S-S-Shizuo Heiwajima! Y-Y-Y-You don’t need to pay! It’s on the house!

The evening turned out to be better than expected.
