Her

Forget Her.

Remember Her.

Try to block Her out.

Think of Her.

Abandon Her.

And she will make you shout.

Ignore Her.

Destroy Her.

Burn away the pain.

The way she makes you look at yourself.

With a great taste of disdain.

She settles in your subconscious.

Eating at your trust.

To think anyone could love you.

It's even less than lust.

She's a beast that makes the past

Come and show its face again.

She's a parasite of sorts.

And you just wanna make it end.

Does He think of Her?

Does He miss Her?

Does He see Her when He sees you?

You try to push her out of your mind,

but she comes up out of the blue.

You see Her day to day,

and you're scared something will come.

And how you yearn for the day that you believe you're number one.

He kisses you with same soft lips that were once pressed against Hers.

You're like an unwilling captured prey

That envy comes and lures.

And the arms that pull you closer

Never wanted Her to go.

And now it settles in your mind.

And makes you feel alone.

Does He really want you?

You can never replace Her.

And you two are nothing alike at all.

You're a disease and she's the cure.

You're terrified of this sacrifice.

Is He sure you're good enough?

You've always been some burnt-out coal.

No diamond in this rough.

You can't forget Her.

Does He regret Her?

One day, will He regret you?

Will this pain ever go away?

Will she vacate your mind too?

You remember the days

It was Him and Her.

It was them against it all.

But now you're here.

So filled with fear.

That's what happens when you fall.
