Well, long story short, we told Katsuki about OFA. He took it... well enough, surprisingly. I half-expected him to flip his lid when I told him my old man made the quirk, and All Might was the eighth person to hold it.

Actually, he was... really quiet after we had told him.

After telling Katsuki more about OFA's lore, and filling in the missing bits for Izuku, we basically just went back to doing our own things. We kept playing Halo for an hour, brought out a few board games, had a quick bout of 'would you rather', and then went our separate ways.

Mom made it clear that we weren't exactly quiet, so I can imagine that Izu's mother had quite a few questions for him.

I haven't seen or heard from dad since the incident that day. I don't know whether to feel happy or uneasy about that. It's a strange feeling.

It's been a few months since then.

I've been paying more visits to prisons for quirk collection. Not like the idiots on death row are going to need them anyway.

Katsuki, Izuku and I have been seeing each other at the school, and we still see each other to hang out afterward, but more often than not, we're all training solo in our own ways. From what I hear from him, Katsuki has been training himself to increase the intensity of his explosions, and the last time I saw Izuku, he was at the beach, training with All Might in the means of garbage removal. Their efforts only serve to motivate myself in my own training.

My training doesn't just focus on strengthening the quirks already in my possession, but it also includes delving into the depths of All For One itself. I've been finding new abilities and quirks to use ever since I started diving.

It's made me a touch pissy, if I'm being honest. If dad was going to stock me up with power, he may as well have left a fuckin' list.

I think I may be freaking my mother out a bit, though. Granted, what parent wouldn't be concerned over their child lying on their bed, twitching sporadically? Finding new quirks to play with when I don't even know what I'm looking for is (more often than not) a difficult process.

I'm currently out making a grocery run for the week, and I notice Izuku taking a jog holding a grip trainer in each hand. He's really taking it seriously, even on his day off from training. I just hope he doesn't overwork himself.

I enter the shop and grab a cart, checking items of my list as I go. before long, I'm almost finished with my list. I just need to grab some strawberries from the fruit aisle. Before I even manage to grab a box, a hand wraps around my neck. I instinctively begin to struggle until I hear what he says next.

(??????) - So... you're the boss's kid.

Is voice is raspy, as if he's either dehydrated, or on the verge of losing his voice. Boss? He speaks of All For One.

(??????) - Don't struggle. My quirk is called Decay. When I touch something with all five fingers, it crumbles to dust. Food, people, it doesn't matter. I touch it, it's gone. Resist, and you'll be little more than ash and powdered bone within minutes.

...Heeding his advice, I drop any form of resistance I had in mind. If that's what his quirk does, I don't think I can afford to expend my regeneration quirks for that long.

(Y/N) - What do you want from me?

(??????) - I'm just here to give a bit of friendly advice. Don't try your hand at being a hero. Once they learn who your father is, you'll be ridiculed and feared every time you step foot in front of anybody who would recognize your face. Could you stand that? Would you be able to tolerate your mother being ridiculed on your behalf?
