In the final book of the series, Adele faces some of her most difficult challenges yet.
Gwen's condition worsens before it gets better, and Adele has to come to terms with the fact that not everything her mother says is what she means. Her mental health faces a challenge during another visit to the hospital with her mother, and she has to seriously consider the option to visit a counsellor.
Her relationship with Harry strengthens, and she learns the importance of being comfortable while being physical. A surprise admission from him leaves her in a confusing place, and after all this time, she discovers what happened with Harry's father. He also finally introduces her to his grandparents.
An unexpected twist at college throws Adele's new-found friendship with Bella into deeper and stronger territory, and the two learn more about each other than they ever meant to. Bella becomes a fundamental confidant in Adele's chaotic life, and they grow closer and closer when things get rougher.
The group decide to plan a holiday abroad together to celebrate Lewis and Harry completing their time at college, giving them all one last hoorah before they have to really grow up.
