~Chapter 1~

Chapter 1: A New School
“Hello, You must be the new girl!” Says sarah with a big smile on her face
“Yeah.. I-Im Kassie..” she said looking down at her feet
“Well hi kassie” said sarah “My name is sarah, and there is no need to be nervous.. I'm here to help you learn your way around the school.”
"O-oh thanks.." Kassie says with a slight smile on her face.
Kassie didn't like it at her new school, she thought all the students were looking at her while she walked through the hallway. Kassie didn't tell her mom about it, but Kassie was miserable at this new school of hers, she got bullied every day for her haircut. Her hair was short and everyone called her a boy. Kassie thought it was normal though, so she stayed silent
~two months later~

Kassie looked up at her mom and told her she didn't want to go to this school.
"I'm sorry kassie, but I can't afford to put you in a new school.." her mother said
"Oh.. it's okay mom.." Kassie said looking down.
The next day was a school day, and she wanted to prove that she wasn't a boy, so Kassie put on her most platinum blonde wig and put a hat on over it.
She walked into school with a smile on her face and her dress flowing as she walked through the hall, everyone was looking at her and she was getting attention from the boys. She finally felt like she fit in with everyone. But the bullies (Samantha, Julie, and Ashley) didn't think so, they came up and pulled the wig off her head. They took it and threw it out the window in the classroom,
"W-why did you do that..?!" Asked Kassie with a shocked expression on her face.
"Because you need to know that you will never fit in with us" said Ashley smirking and crossing her arms
Kassie's heart sank and she ran out of the room crying, Sarah saw her and ran after her,
"LEAVE ME ALONE!" kassie yelled to sarah with tears in her eyes
Sarah stood in shock not knowing what to do next, she let Kassie run as she just stood there watching her.
"Okay.." Sarah said with an unsettling sigh "I understand.."
Kassie made it to the rooftop of the school, she sat down and started to sing
"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine.. you make me happy, when skies are grey.."
A boy that followed her up there continued singing the song with her.
Kassie looked behind her confused at what she heard, then she saw him. The most beautiful boy she had ever seen.. She smiled at him and continued singing
"Hi.. I'm Ash"
"Hello ash.. I'm kassie.."
Ash held out his hand for kassie to shake it, but instead kassie ran and hugged him while crying,
“I hate it here!!” kassie said burying her face into his shoulder
“I know.. I get bullied too, but you seem like a nice person.. Maybe we could be friends?”
¨Friends..?¨ asked kassie with a limp in her voice
¨yes. Friends!¨ ash said with a smile on his face
¨I would like that..¨ kassie said as she stepped back from ash
¨Now i wont be alone anymore.¨ said ash with a embarrassed feeling
Kassie giggled and hugged ash again.
¨well i have to get to class, see ya around kassie!¨ ash said as he started to walk away.
