Yoongi's gaze went through the roses and he noticed there was something among them.

A note?

He raised an eyebrow and took it out.

He grimaced, his nose squeezed in disgust

He grimaced, his nose squeezed in disgust.

"Kitten? I'm not a cat! Who the real freak is this?" he got so frustratedly confused and then flipped the note over to see if it had something on the back. All he could see was a stamp of Paris in the lower corner which shook him to eternity and curiosity rampaged through his mind.

"Paris? Seriously? As far as I remember, there's no one I know in Paris?" he narrowed his eyes, casting the roses and box a wary glare.

He picked up the ring box.

"And this ring! Like if you want to ask me out then-" he stopped mid-sentence as he opened the box and revealed what was a female ring, "The fuck? Shouldn't it be a male one?"

"If you're confessing to a boy with these roses, rings and all. Then the ring should be a male one, right?" he repeatedly shook his head in disappointment, "People have completely lost their minds, I see."

He closed the box, putting it back on the table and pretended as if he was talking to the roses and the ring box.

"Well, whoever you belong to. I mean, the one who sent them is really unlucky. So sad!" he pressed his lips, forming a thin line and shaking his head slowly in no as if he was actually feeling bad about it.

"You know why? 'Cause my heart is already taken by someone, my first and last, rejected love."

"I-" his words were cut off by his phone. The table buzzed under its vibration, catching his attention. He sighed and picked up to see the caller ID, "Mom?"

"Hi, sweetie. What are you doing?" she greeted him with one of her softest and sweetest voices, the one she used when she needed something.

"Talking to roses and a box," he let out unknowingly, lost in his own thoughts.

"Huh? Roses, did you say? Is that what I heard?" she curiously asked and Yoongi coughed as he realised what he said. He knew how his Mother was, she'd bombard him with questions.

"Ah, uh . . . no, Mom. Actually, I was free, so I started watching a movie on my phone and it came out of my mouth," he said in jest.

"Oh, okay?" the older lady said with an understanding voice and Yoongi thanked all the gods of every single religion in that split second.

"You said you were free, right?" she said sweetly but the little mischief in her voice made Yoongi narrow his eyes.

"Yeah?" he said but the exclamation came out more of a question.

"Okay, I won't talk in circles. I planned a blind date for you!" she announced with joy but the colour of Yoongi's face drained in an instant.

"Mom, what the fuck? Me and a blind date? Are you serious?"

"First of all, language, Yoongi!" she scolded with a stern voice and then continued, "And I know your issues sweety, but you can't stay unmarried for your whole life, right? You have to find a life partner," she said issues in a tone that Yoongi felt as though he had an erection problem, his mother had a tendency to make even sympathy feel awkward.

"But Mom-"

"No more talks, please. You're going on a blind date, I already texted you the address and that's final!" with that, she hung up the call without allowing Yoongi to respond.

His mom was not wrong in her place, he knew that. He had to find a life partner, but the girl whom he wanted to be one, would never be his.

He messed his hair in frustration and then took a deep breath. He respected and loved his Mother a lot, so, setting everything aside, he made up his mind to go with it because he didn't have any other choice.

Yoongi was in his car, driving to the address his Mother forwarded him. The roses and the ring were also there, lying on the passenger seat beside him. He didn't understand why he brought them with him, but he just did.

"Who the fucking hell sets a blind date in a damn amusement park?"

"People go to restaurants, cafes, beaches and there are many other places perfect for a date. But an amusement park? How old are we? Five?" he scoffed, already hating the girl's taste.

He had too much today. First, that awkward moment with Iseul, then those unexpected roses from Paris. And now, he was going on a blind date in an Amusement Park, a place he had been ignoring for almost half a decade.

"Such a perfect day," he cursed internally, his feet stomping on the accelerator.

Yoongi stood outside the most unforgettable place of his life - the amusement park where he expected his life to begin a new phase, but turned out to be the end of everything.

A flood of emotions filled up his heart. It had been exactly eight years from the last time he came to this place. The moment she left - the happiness of his life, everything just left with her.

Suddenly, his phone buzzed with a vibration louder than his ringtone in his back pocket, making him come out of his trance. A text message popped up on the screen.

An unknown number.
