"June! Listen to me, please!" the young boy ran while yelling at the girl's back, trying to catch up with her.

"No, this is not at all right!" June yelled back, trying to keep her distance from him.

"Why? I love you, you love me. Then what the hell is wrong?" he cried, his almost numb legs shaking in fear and anxiety. Still, he ran after her, grabbing her hand to stop her.

Panting heavily, he turned her around, looking into her eyes while his own eyes were pooling with tears, pleading and begging her to stop.

"Yoongi, try to understand!" the girl pleaded, removing his hands away but her voice came out harsher than before, "We're best friends. This can't be love! At least . . . at least you should have asked for my answer before kissing me!" she panted bewildered, her voice cracked.

The pain and confusion were evident in June's eyes. She didn't dare look into Yoongi's eyes. Her whole being shivered with the fear of something happening to her and Yoongi's friendship.

Her past relationships had always been a trauma for her, every time she gave her best but ended up losing the person instead. She felt suffocated just by the thought of losing her best friend in a way that she'd never be able to even talk to him.

And losing a person who always stood by her side, always been the one to comfort her in her hard times and share her joy in the happy moments? The thought in itself was so terrifying that she panicked, she felt suffocated as if her lungs were failing her and she couldn't help but gasp.

"Y-Yoongi? No nick n-names?" he gazed at her in shock, not believing the sudden distance between them. A tear rolled down June's cheek and Yoongi couldn't help but step forward to cup one of her cheeks and brush the tear away softly.

"I'm sorry, I'm really sorry, June . . . just listen to me once, please?" hearing the desperation and pleading in his voice, she stopped resisting and looked at him expectantly.

"I love you, June. I-" as soon as Yoongi began, she shrieked. The choice of his words made her body heat up and the pictures of everything that were once a part of her heart filled her mind.

"Stop it, Yoongi!" she yanked his hand away from her cheek, pushing him away from her, "This is just an attraction, just a fling! There's no love, there can't be! Because we're just friends . . . best friends!"

She furiously turned around, quickening her steps, leaving the amusement park and a desperate Yoongi behind. He ran after her, screaming her name over and over again, unable to accept that his one and only love whom he just confessed to after years of fighting a battle inside him, had just abandoned him.

"June! This is true love . . . this is my love, you can't question my feelings! This isn't just a fling, it's love, true love . . . and I'll wait! I'll wait for you!" his legs gave up and he fell on his knees, crying his heart out. His heart was heavy with overwhelming emotions and his eyes were burning with excruciating pain. The crowd around him stared at him but no one even stepped near him.

The pain of June leaving him alone, the one who promised to always stay by his side leaving him like he was nothing made his heart fall apart.

He promised to wait but he had no idea that she'd run away so far. He had no idea that she'd vanish from his life like a dream.

He waited for days for her to be normal so they could talk. But after a week, when he knocked on her door, what her mother said next made his whole world crumble.

"She left with her uncle to study overseas. I thought she told you?"

Eight years of wait. He searched so much for her, but she never came back.
