(Y/N)'s POV
It was never enough for them. My pain, my suffering, my cries for help. They seemed to get off on it, seemed to breathe it in as if it was their way of surviving. Maybe it was. I didn't want to give in to Dark's words but they seemed so genuine, so concerned for me. HE looked so genuine and concerned for my safety to the point I even saw it in his eyes. 'Snap OUT of it, you dumbass! That's what he wants you to believe. That's how he manipulates people. By acting as if he's concerned. He's a good pretender, he likes what he's supposed to in order to get his way, he becomes just like you in order to get in your head and then he goes for the kill.' My thoughts but Marvin's voice of reason rang throughout my head, making me gasp and grab at my hair, tears in my eyes as I tried to fight back all of my emotions, not wanting to make any rash decisions. "I'm just as good as he is at pretending. I got lots of problems that everyone knows about, I'm insecure, I do not belong here, I belong back at home with Anti. And that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to play pretend." I laughed to myself as I spoke, shaking my head slightly. I had a good feeling I was going to die here if he found out about what I was planning but it didn't bother me. In fact, it gave me a sense of relief knowing that if I died, my pain, my misery, my worry for everyone, everything would stop. Anti would be heartbroken for sure but he could always move on, it would be better for everyone. I just have to avoid Dark finding out about my plans and stall him long enough before he tries to take my blood. What I didn't know and what I wish I would have known, was that Anti was also going to play pretend.
Don't get yourself killed and everything will be okay.
A/N: Not the best but I do have bigger plans and ideas for the next chapter. I think I'm finally getting back into the groove of things. Now the real question is: Do I make a smut at some point? I'm thinking of doing a one-shot book with the egos and I'm making a one-shot with One Piece characters since that's my recent obsession, more so Sanji Vinsmoke and Roronoa Zoro. Just let me know!
