The words of the bartender went pass your ear as you drank more. You're far too heartbroken to process his words right now, not when your heart was crumbling down inside of your chest.

You loved him, yes you loved the man with all of your heart. You thought he did too... but turned out, all this time you were just over thinking?!

Then what was those? What should you think of those adoring gazes, and fleeting touches of his?

When you asked him about this all he said as the answer was-

"Look Y/N? I don't know where did you get this idea that I might be interested in you, but let me get this to you out straight- I'm.not.interested.in.you. romantically. Those are just friendly gesture, Y/N, how could you think more about those, it's normal among friends to touch each other?"

The look of disbelief was prominent on his face when he spat those words to you so brutally, making your heart to shatter.

That's right, you are in love with a man who all along thought of you just as a friend...

But it's not a typical friend-zoning event that took place because you clearly didn't overstepped your boundaries by confessing to your friend.

You and Jun were once classmates in your High School year, but at that time, you were just acquaintances, both of you never talked to each other except for exchanging more than one 'hello's' or 'hi's'.

When you were 20, you met Jun again at a reunion party in your previous high school for the first time after the prom.

And that was also the first time both of you had a proper conversation with each other.

He was sweet, smart, gentle and charming. He treated you with so much interest and delicacy. You were bound to fall for him if he is to treat you like that, like you were a feather which will be broke if not handled delicatly.

Both of you somehow had clicked fast and had exchanged phone numbers to keep in touch.

After that meeting, both of you caught up on a lot of things, hung out with each other even, and even went to several vacations together.

Both of you almost became like a soulmate, always doing everything together like two childs even though both of you were adults.

You knew your relation with him was just as friends, but the way he treated you so gently, wore you his jacket whenever he saw you feeling cold, and even hugged you so passionately whenever he thought you were going through something hard, you were bound to fall for him.

You thought these were signs from him that he liked you too.

Besides, you didn't see him taking any interest in any other women, he only hung out with you besides all of his male friends.

Then, how would you know that he didn't really like you in romantic sense? How would you know that those fleeting touches of him on your neck, your ear and your waist was just some 'friendly gesture' of his?!

At the second year of your friendship with Jun, when you are 21 currently, you confessed to him, thinking if the feelings were mutual one has to take the initiative. But what you heard from him as response was something you never expected in a million years.
