Chapter 12: Dead Apple Begins

Once Dazai got back to the Agency everything worked like a machine. Plus Dazai wouldn't slack off on their work. Once three o'clock hit they would go pick up Akimura and take her back to the office. This made her get to know the people her ren spent most of their time with. Kyouka is the agency member Akimura has spent the most time with. Mainly because Kouyou would bring Kyouka over when they first met.

Dazai was still keeping the Agency in the dark about Fyodor. Soon the rat would arrive in Yokohama. Along with Shibusawa thus covering the city in a fog where all gifted people would have to fight their abilities in order to survive.

Once again Aktagawa was giving a report. Everyone was paying attention then "Barbie Girl" started to play. People look to Elise first because she was playing on her tablet.

"It's not me." Elise said with venom in her voice.
As that's happening Chuuya pulls out his phone. As it would happen it's Akimura calling her father. It was a simple message really. Osamu told her to call Chuuya to ask him to pick the children up from the Agency. Who knows what Osamu was planning after the kids were picked up.

"Nakahara-San why was your phone ringing in a meeting again?" Mori asked the executive.

"I have an eleven year old, a newborn, and my fiancé is suicidal. I need to have my ringer on." Chuuya replied.

TIME SKIP A FEW WEEKS LATER

Today was a solemn day. Today was the anniversary of Odasaku's death. Chuuya and Dazai brought Akimura here every year, and now they'll bring chikyu as well. Akimura always loved to hear stories about her Uncle Oda. Alas it was time for Chikyu's afternoon nap so Chuuya took him and Akimura home.

Dazai sat down next to the grave, "Hey Odasaku, I'm doing my best, but it gets tiring. I mean I guess I'm lucky because I can live in the light and be with Chuuya. Akimura and Chikyu met the Agency two weeks ago. Kyouka was really happy to see Akimura again. Anyways, we might be seeing each other again soon depending on how the next 24 hours go."

While Dazai was sitting down Atsushi came to the cemetery looking for them. They had a conversation. With it ending with Atsushi going back to the Agency alone. Dazai then went to Lupin where they ordered two glasses of whiskey, one for themself and one for Odasaku.

"A toast to the stray dogs." Dazai says as they finish their drink.

As they left the bar they were confronted by Ango.

"Do you really think you'd be able to stop me if I did." They said as the fog began to rise.

Once they got to the tower. They stared out onto Yokohama. The city was covered in fog from Shibusawa's ability. After a minute or two Fyodor came to talk.

"How is it going my dear." Fyodor asked.

"I'm fine," they paused, "and my kids are fantastic as well."

Fyodor looked sad. After all he thought the night they spent together in Russia was wonderful, but to Dazai it was just a distraction during the two year hiding period.

"Well maybe when this is over I can meet them."

"I highly doubt my fiancé would want a rat in our home."
