"Do you want to know what really happened in Midoriya's room?"

The ash blonde in question quirked up an eyebrow and sat a little straighter. What happened in Midoriya's room? Did that mean Nezu knew who attacked the green head? If he did, he shouldn't be telling Bakugou, right? Everyone was supposed to think that the students were clueless on the topic of there being a real traitor. But if the principal had caught onto them with his high specs then...

That left the ash blonde with two options.

Nezu knew Bakugou knew about there being a real traitor and also that the ash blonde would probably try to go and find the traitor himself, which he would. In that case, Nezu wanted to share his insights with Bakugou so they could both come to a much more accurate conclusion than they would individually. Which, as a whole, was a load of bullshit. Nezu did not need to team up with someone to know who the traitor was, let alone a student. Secondly, even if he did, talking to a student about it was just too unrealistic. He would have talked to Aizawa or Present Mic or literally any other teacher — they were experienced pro heroes for fuck's sake — in this regard and not him.

So, that left Bakugou with the only other and more viable option; Nezu suspected him to be the traitor. Which was fair. Fair given how he and his team had been acting throughout the exercise. If we go by the teams and their behavior during the whole thing, the suspicions could easily be narrowed down to either Midoriya or Bakugou and since the green head was busy being half dead, that left the ash blonde out in the open. Especially if Nezu had seen him looking through those files this morning through the cameras he suspected to be malfunctioning...

Wait — That was it wasn't it? Nezu and Power Loader lied about the cameras. Nezu suspected the students to learn about the traitor sooner or later. They lied about the thing with the security cameras from the very start. Yeah, maybe the traitor messed up one or two but all of them? No. No, of course not. The principal wasn't that stupid. He lied every time so the students would hear it at least once and once they knew the faculty had no control over the cameras, they knew no one was watching them and if no one was watching they were free to sneak around.

A trap Bakugou not-so-gracefully fell in.

"That is... If you don't already know," Nezu added.

Yup, he thought Bakugou was the traitor. Now, how could he get out of this situation? Lie through his teeth? What should he lie about? He didn't have a clear idea of things anyway. He was planning to confirm his suspicions by evening after the interrogation session. Right now, he only had two names and he still wasn't sure because he did not have enough evidence against any of them.

"I don't," Bakugou replied phlegmatically.

The principal chirped, "Well, in that case, this is going to be an interesting conversation!" The ash blonde could tell it wasn't but the rat seemed to differ, "Firstly regarding the exercise itself, do you have any suspects, Bakugou?"

"A few guesses. Nothing solid." The boy shrugged.

"Well, how about this then," Nezu suggested, "You tell me your guesses and I may share some of mine."

"Your guesses?" Bakugou parroted. Did that mean Nezu would share his suspicions for the two traitors? If that was it then it was clarified that he knew the ash blonde knew of the two traitors. Bakugou scoffed, playing dumb for the time being, "What the hell is that supposed to mean? You designed the entire thing. You don't have any 'guesses' here, you know the real deal."
