Jerry did reluctantly send me home, the only requirement he had was for me to attend the annual moonlight party, at The Skylark. I didn't bother to argue with him, even though i'm definitely not in a party mood today. Sometimes you just have to grin and bear it.

I went out for a cup of coffee, with the idea that it'd help with my sore throat. I spot a rather nice looking café down the street, and decide to give it a go. The entrance is covered in a beautiful gold decor, and a dark rum colored carpet, leading to a sophisticated foyer.

As I get to the front desk, a nice dressed waiter quickly leads me to a table, standing next to an elegant piano. I order my usual coffee, a skinny cortado, and proceeds to look around the café. The walls are covered with silky white garnish, only illuminated by the golden lights, hanging from the krystal glittering chandelier. There's life in the café, and multiple tables are occupied.

I observe the people in the surroundings. They're all dressed in fancy clothes, and all look expensive. I look down at myself, and can't help but get a little self-conscious by my chosen outfit.

The sound of loud talking brings me back to reality, and my eyes flick to the direction of the movement. A rather large group of guys, comes wandering through the foyer. I study each of the guys with curiosity. They walk careless after the waiter, while laughing and talking like it's their world and everyone else is just living in it. The other guests seem to share my confusion, and suddenly all eyes are on the 6 guys. As I watch their movements, I lock eyes with one of the guys. He seems to notice me, but the waiter serving me my coffee catches my attention. He places the hot beverage on the wooden table, and I send the him a grateful smile. He then turns towards the kitchen, and wanders off .

I raise the porcelain cup to my mouth, and take a sip of the hot liquid. The strong taste of coffee aroma, fills both my nostrils and pleases my tastebuds. As I place the cup on the saucer, I feel a pair of eyes on me. My mind urges me to turn and look from which they come, and I do exactly that.

I carefully turn my head towards the direction of the stare, and my eyes meet a green pair from across the café. They belong to a somewhat tall, curly haired guy. His facial structure is beautifully sculpted. His jawline is sharp and strong, but it doesn't make him look dominant. He looks calm and in control, as if he has all the surplus in the world.

I can't help but to get a bit flustered but his presence.

My phone beeps, and I get torn out of the almost hypnotic eye contact with the stranger. I look down to see what intruded my interaction with the green eyes. I let my fingers slide across the screen, and press the message button. The person who had disturbed my spellbinding moment, was my stylist Katie. I get annoyed at the disturbance she had caused, but decides to read the message.

"Get here now, you have to be fit checked for tonight."

I sight and get up to leave. Sometimes I forget what reality I live in. Why did I think for a split second, that I had a chance to get to know the green eyed boy. It always ends the same, like a heartbreak rhythm.
