Ever since those men raided the house I had to be with my dad everywhere he went, which meant sitting in boring politics meetings that last hours. Then I saw him....Oswald Mosley walked in and sat down opposite me, I shifted in my seat and tried to look anywhere but his direction, I knew it was him who raided the house it had to be. There was lots of yelling and what my dad calls "debating" then my name comes up "Mr Shelby what is your daughter doing at a political meeting?" A man I don't recognise says, I keep my mouth shut and my head down, "there was an incident that means she must stay near me for a while to maintain her safety" he replies moving his glasses up. The meeting continued and just as they were finishing up Mosley piped up "so do we have a young politician in the making?" He asked with a disturbing smile on his face, I glanced up then at my dad who just looked at me then nodded telling me I could answer, "nope I'm going to work with the horses with uncle Charlie" I replied making a few people in the room chuckle and my dad smiled. "That's my girl, come on" he said stretching out his arm to guide me out the room and I followed.

We arrived home and I ran ahead inside to find Alfie stood in the doorway with a dog on a lead, I tilted my head slightly and smiled. My dad walked in and looked at Alfie then the dog stood in his house "Alfie, I see you've brought a friend" he said whilst lighting a cigarette. "Yeah I have but it's not mine" he replied then looked at me, I smiled and looked up at my dad who just shook his head and smiled, "pick a name for him he's yours now" Alfie said and passed the dog to me, I furrowed my brows in thought "I don't know" I said and carefully ran my hands through his soft fur. Alfie smiled "that's alright, you gotta pick the perfect name, he's only a year old so you got at least 9 years with it" he said and ruffled my hair before shaking hands with my dad and leaving.

I was sat on the floor by the fire with my dog playing with his long fur, he had black and dark tan colours and golden eyes. Polly walked in "Thomas there- what in gods name is a dog doing in here" she said glaring at my dad and me "not me it was Alfie who got it" he said looking over to me and the dog. "His name is Wolf" I said looking at her and she sighed loudly before leaving the room "I swear you lot will be the death of me one day" she muttered. "You picked a name then" my dad asked watching me interact with the dog, "yes, he looks like a wolf doesn't he" I replied and giggled as Wolf licked my hand. "I'm just going to look at the books you stay here with Wolf" he said before kissing the top of my head and leaving the room.

An hour later Tommy went back to check on me and walked in to find me fast asleep, my head laid gently on Wolfs body, he was huge compared to me. He smiled and gently lifted me in to his arms, Wolf followed as he carried me to my room and tucked me in to my bed. Wolf jumped on the bed and lay by my feet, I squirmed slightly and opened my eyes. "Go back to sleep" my dad whispered, "I love you dad" I said tiredly, he smiled "I love you too, more than you'll ever realise" he replied "now go to sleep, we're up early tomorrow" "can Wolf come?" I said looking at the dog that was sleeping on the end of the bed, my dad just nodded and left the room.
