SHIPWRECKED
When you were shipwrecked
Broken,
Mishandled,
I stood by you as a lighthouse tower.
I shun my light over you
But saw it not you.
My back took all the bruises of neglect,
For my heart loathed leaving a precious friend in neglect.
No more.
My back shall take no more.
For over and over it tore.
Now it grows sore.
I now realize this,
No matter how smooth diamond is sharpened,
Deep in manure sooo blackened
Its luster becomes deceased.
With this
I bid you goodbye.
You and I
Can be no more.
