When the Days are Dark

Chapter 3

Two weeks had finally passed and today was the day that All Might come. Bakugou had everyone cleaning the second house as if their lives depended on it. You were sweeping in the kitchen, Mina came in and sat on the counter. "WOOO~ Bakugou got us cleaning like a slave," she whined as she kicked her legs. (Yes, Mina is black!)

"Why are we even cleaning this house? We don't live here!" You scowled, continuing to sweep the trash into the dustpan. "Right, " Denki said as he walked in. "But I guess it's because this guy named 'All Might' is coming today." He whispered to you and Mina. "Do you know anything about this?" He turned to Mina, getting a little too close. She slapped him with the towel she had in her hand. "I don't know. He's some legendary old dude who was a former member of this gang or whatever," she said, poking Denki's forehead.

He stepped back. "I don't why we even gotta clean up like this for him. We don't gotta impress that old fart." Mina grumbled, folding her arms. She pouted and crossed her arms, hopping off the counter. "Then all the old members treat him like some GUY that should be praised and worshipped! He's just someone who created this gang and passed it on to Bakugou to be a politician." Mina began to rant.

Bakugou came in and leaned on the wall near the entrance. He let her continue her rant until he got sick of hearing her voice for the day. "I don't worship him. He's the man who started this and now we're going to negotiate because I have the kid he plays 'Father and Son' with, " His glare stared deep into Mina's eyes. He walked over and stood between you and Denki, putting his arm around your shoulder. "Don't be so political about stupid shit."

"Why aren't you cleaning, asshole?" Mina asked, glaring back at Bakugou. "The same reason you're not, Bitch." He smirked. You and Denki looked at each other before looking at Mina and then at Bakugou. They seemed to be having a staring contest and by the looks of it, Mina was about to lose.

Yaoyoruzo peeked her head in. "Bakugou..." dramatic pause, "He's here," she said as opened the door revealing All Might, he was kind of ugly. He nodded and headed to the door, his straight posture seemed to have become straighter from the sight of All Might.

You noticed and smiled a bit to yourself before Mina jumped into view. "Why are you looking at him like that?" She asked, scaring you a bit. "Oh shit! What? Huh?"

"I said, " she stretched out the vast syllabus of the second word, pronouncing the 'd' hard. "Why are you looking at him like that? You crushing?" She sang childishly as she covered her mouth. Her movement was slow and animated. "Girl- I hardly even know him. He's just fine as fuck." you emphasize the words 'fine' and 'fuck', smiling a bit.

"Mhm. Whatever you say~, " Mina said, shuffling away.

"So you're not interested in Bakugou?" Denki asked

Bakugou sat at the head of a long table, All Might was on the opposite end. They stayed in silence for a few minutes, each waiting for the other to say the first word. All Might sighed and closed his eyes. "Bakugou... I specifically asked you not to recruit Midoriya. He's a good kid, he has so much going for him." All might said.

Bakugou laughed, "Oh, I'm the bad guy here? Midoriya is like a lame, meek animal in the wild. What would he ever have going for himself? He'd be devoured the second he comes across a large predator in." he said, "You're not doing SHIT for him. That bullshit 'Father, Son' act you play with him doesn't mean shit." He scowled and once again silence fell. The silence was loud and eerie.
