Todoroki Shoto entered the largest conference room in the Endeavor Hero Agency. All the seats were already taken except the one on the right side of his father. His tall muscular body moved with grace and determination. He nodded at the people present and took his seat.
"Now that we are all gathers, let's begin," Enji Todoroki's brawny figure hovered over the table. Shoto did not bother looking at the wall clock in the conference room. He knew that he was not late. Todoroki Shoto was never late; he always arrived the exact minute. "The reason I have called this meeting on such a short notice is because the agency received an extraordinary request." Shoto's expression did not change. After years of working side by side with his father, he learned that Enji's 'extraordinary' was not the same as his own. "The OmiCron Research Facility requested our assistance with the current investigation they are undergoing."
Shoto tilted his head slightly to a side, a sign that he was interested.
"As many of you might be aware, the OmiCron is a facility ran exclusively by alphas and betas. Almost all their research is sponsored by the government, which means that the hiring of staff is strongly regulated and monitored. In fact, in the past three year there has been no staff rotation in the entire facility." Enji waited for a few minutes allowing his words to sink in. "But lately some of the developed and developing products have been appearing on the black market. A coincidence is impossible due to the specifics of the products, which leaves only one possible explanation. There is a traitor in the facility."
"Why did they request help from a hero agency?" Shoto spoke turning his intense gaze to his father.
"The product in question, if exposed to the general public, will have the most dreadful effects. As the leading hero agency of the country..."
At this point Shoto tuned his father out and looked at the documents in the folder in front of him. An extensive list of the employees, brief descriptions of the 'exposed' products, several investigation reports and an entire page of contact details. Shoto took out the first investigation report and started reading. Suddenly his father's heavy hand landed on the table beside him. Young man did not wince. He looked up and met Enji's stern gaze. Only then he noticed that everybody else was gone and they were the only two people in the room.
"I want you on top of this case Shoto." Enji's rough powerful voice sounded more forceful and usual. "I've already arranged your first visit to OmiCron tomorrow at nine am. Go there, get familiar with everything, from then on, you are in charge. I want you to report to me standardly on weekly basis or more often if needed. We have to play a key role in this investigation."
Shot stood up and picked up the file. "Understood." His voice was calm and cold, just like his exterior. Not looking at his father and not saying another word, Shoto walked out of the conference, leaving Enji Todoroki with a hard gaze plastered on his face.

[Y/N] scanned her employee's card and walked into the building. The extra security scurried around the place making the usually quiet area loud and obnoxious. She unlocked the door of her small office and entered. Her jacket was soon replaced with a white lab coat. The girl walked to the mirror to tie back her hair when a sudden knock on the door stopped her.
"Enter." She said and continued with her hair.
The first thing she noticed was the smell. Like the vast majority of betas, [Y/N] was not sensitive to smells at all. Her sense of smell extended to the point of telling apart alpha and omega, but that was about it. Warm, dry, musky smoke and pine needles scent tickled her nostrils, making her turn around instantly. It smelled like a bonfire on a cold autumn's day. She could almost imagine the orange and yellow kaleidoscopes dancing in front of her. [Y/N] loved that smell. It reminded her of long chilly nights spent camping with her family, her parents' laughter, her brother's goofiness and her own careless smiles, so certain of the days to come.
