New Kid On The Block | Gilmore Girls x Reader

Part 6

The week consisted of school, sleep, a little drink here and there, and getting annoyed by tristan. Nothing really special happened except that you and Rory got closer.

It was a Saturday today and that meant the day of the party that your step mom put together. You had no idea what the party was for and you didn't want to ask, so you just went with it. The starting of the day consisted of getting woken up, having to help with decoration (even when there was a team of people doing that, you were always forced to help), and having to get ready about 3 hours earlier.

People had started to arrive and you would greet them then talk for about 5 minutes, and then excuse yourself. You walked up to the newest people who had entered.

"Hi, welcome, i'm Y/N, the daughter of Mr. Mitchel" you said

"Oh hello, we are the Gilmores" the women said. At that point your step mom walked over and wrapped her arm around your shoulders.

"Mr. and Mrs. Gilmore, It's been a while, How are you been" she says in a cheery voice.

"Oh Delphine, it's been a while since we've seen you" Mrs. Gilmore says while going in to greet her with kisses on the cheeks. "Is this one yours?" she asks

"Oh no this is my husband's daughter, she goes to chilton." she shakes her head.

"Oh she does that's a wonderful school, our granddaughter goes there by chance she may know her?" Mr. Gilmore says turning towards you.

"I might, what is her name?" you ask, shrugging off your step mothers arms. She smiles at you, a smile saying 'watch the attitude'

"She goes by Rory, but her real name is Lorelai." He says.

"Yes I do know her, we eat lunch together, sometimes i give her a ride home when i have the time" you say pretending to be nice.

"Oh well that's wonderful" he says.

"Yes it is, excuse me i'm going to greet more people." you say walking away. While you're walking away a new group comes in this time with their son. A Son you knew, Tristan. Before he can see you, you try to walk away from the door. Too late, your father sees you trying to walk away and pushes you with him to greet the family.

"Hello Mr and Mrs. Dugray." you say with a smile, they seem shocked that you know their names "I go to school with your son," you say because you noticed the shock look.

"How about you go take Tristan and show him around the house." your father says to you, you nod and walk away with Tristan walking towards you. 

"Okay so here we have the room of the living, then inside there is the kitchen, there's the dining room, upstairs we have the bedrooms and the extra rooms. There any questions?" you say while just standing in one spot.

"Can i see the rooms?" he says.

"Which room?" you asks

"How about let's actually walk into the rooms you were talking about." he says

"Well I don't see the point but the longer I endure you the longer I don't have to deal with family friends." you say walking towards the dining room.

"You mean you enjoy my company?" he says with a smirk.

"Ha ha very funny, no I don't" you say while looking him in the eyes. He brings his hands up in a defense. Acting as though he was innocent.

You showed him all of the rooms on the bottom floor "okay well that was fun, that's the tour."

"What about the rooms upstairs?" he asks smirking, you don't see the point or the smirk so you start to head upstairs.

"Okay so here we have the adults' bedroom, they have nothing fun in here" you say while opening the door and letting him peek around. "Then we have Amelia's bedroom, she has some things that are fun to take and make her freak out" you say opening her door and he sees a pink princess room. "And here is my room, then-" you don't open the door this time and just walk away.

"Wait why don't i get to see your room?" he asks while looking hurt. 

"Because that is my room and I don't want you to see it, easy as that." you say with a smile. "As i was saying then we have the office and the craft rooms over here" you say moving forward and not checking to see if he was following.

You continue to walk and notice that the annoying presence is gone. You turn around and see your door open. You walk into your room and see Tristan on your bed, sitting there with your Walkman in his hand.

"And what do you think you're doing in here i didn't show you this for a reason." you say angrily.

"Well, you weren't showing the whole tour so i took it upon myself to do it." he says while looking at the pictures on your wall. "Who are these in the pictures" he stands up and points towards the one with Minavera and Fauna. 

"My friends, now can you get out." you point towards the door and take a step back to the wall.

"Okay okay I'll get out, If you tell me about you and California."

"Well I'm a (astrological sign) and I like to listen to music on blast in my car, with the windows down. Okay now go" you shew him out and he obliges. You close your door and move both you and Tristan downstairs.

"Okay well you got the tour, not nice seeing you, i think your family's waiting for you, so if you'll excuse me i have to greet more people." you walk away and greet more people.

The party ended around 45 minutes ago and you were helping with clean up. You father walked up to you.

"Tristan seems like a nice young man." he starts to help clean up around where you were.

"He's not, he probably puts up a facade to seem that way around adults." you never faced him while saying this.

"goodnight" you say quietly and run upstairs, done with the small heels you chose to wear and the dress.
