"Will my father join me for dinner..?" Adrien asked Natalie, his fathers assistant.
Though it was rare occasions that his father would join him for dinner, Adrien still hoped he would eat with him. Adrien and his father hadn't had a father and son moment for a while.
"I'm afraid not Adrien. Your father is a very busy man-"
Adrien sighed. "Yeah, yeah I get it. Thank you for the food but I'm not that hungry anymore." He said getting up from his chair. His disappointment for his father grew each time he neglected him. He was getting tired of it.
"Adrien wait-" Adrien interrupted. "It's okay Natalie. I'm already used to it." He gave her a small smile before heading up to his room.
Adrien closed his door behind him. The little black kwami flew out from his jacket.
"Of course I'm not used to it." He leaned against his door. He ran his fingers through his hair and let out a sad sigh.
Plagg wore a sad expression on his face. He understood the relationship between Adrien and his father. A Father too busy to spend time with his son. A teenager just wanting to have a conversation with the man.
Plagg didn't have a clue how to comfort the boy. His usual go-to was distracting him.
"You shouldn't worry about your dad so much. Instead, enjoy all this yummy Camembert!" Plagg said, munched on his cheese.
Adrien smiled warmly at his friend. "Your Camembert stinks."
"What do you mean? It's the most delicious thing in the entire world." Plagg giggled. Just seeing his owner smile made him smile again.
Adrien plugged his nose. "It's the most smelly thing in the world."
Adrien walked over to his bed and plopped down onto it. He grabbed one of his pillows and pushed it on his face, screaming. Obviously he couldn't scream too loud or else Natalie or the Gorilla would start barging in. He stayed silent for a moment before laughing quietly. He thought about it again. If he screamed loudly, the Gorilla or Natalie would barge in, except for his father. He clutched the pillow tightly. He pulled off the pillow from his face to get some air.
Plagg flew onto one of Adrien's pillows, studying his face. Trying to look for any signs of anger or sadness.
"What's on your mind, Adrien?" He asked.
Adrien let out a small grunt. "I don't feel like moping around all day when I have free time. I wanna go out somewhere. Somewhere as Chat Noir." He blurted out.
"Nothing's stopping you. Who cares if you get in trouble anyways." Plagg said, burping right after.
Adrien sat up from his bed. "Where should I go? Or well rather who should I visit?"
"What about that bakers daughter? I'm sure she has some delicious cheese I can eat." Plagg said, mouth drooling just at the thought of cheese. He may or may not have wanted to go to Marinettes for another reason too.
"You mean Marinette?" Adrien corrected. He didn't exactly know Marinette that well in his hero life. He was pretty sure she hated him in his civilian form. But as Chat noir, she seemed comfortable. Like her true self. Confident, sassy, intelligent..
Adrien found himself sinking in to his thoughts and mentally slapped himself for getting distracted.
"I'm sure she wouldn't mind if a super hero hung out at her place for a bit." He smirked.
