A/n: I love the mommy issues chapters more then I should.

T/W: Mild cursing

"Is there something wrong? Did the school call you or some-" I stand up and walk over slowly, my arms crossed.

"N/n, sweetie I think You need to sit down for this." Her tone changes, it's sweet, nurturing, worried...

"Mom?" I responded in a worried tone.

"Y/n just sit down." She guides me to my bed with her hand attached to my shoulder. She takes the chair from my desk. Sitting opposite of me as she takes a deep breath and clears her throat.

"Fine..." I finally give. My frustration seeping out of my words.

"Honey, I... I can't do this anymore-" She doesn't look me in the eyes, her head is tilted downwards and her hands fall limply from her lap.

"Do what?" I respond strictly, a stark contrast to her choice of voice. I lean forward from my spot on the bed.

"Let me finish." She looks up at me, her eyes are slightly glazed but I couldn't give a fuck. "I leave early to get to work on time and get home late. I never did this before and we both hate it. Everything has turned upside down lately and I know it's taken a toll on you. It's taken a toll on me too. I didn't want to tell you at first but it's inevitable. I got the promotion which also means a different workplace..So now, the best thing for the both of us is to move."

"What!" I stand up, she stands up slowly and lands her hands on my shoulders. "You can't do this now! You turn my world upside down and decide the best thing is to make it worse!"

"Y/n you're not listening to me. We have to. Neither of us can go on like this. Do you really want me to just leave you here, by yourself?"

"I won't be! I have Dad a-and Pops and-"

"Sweetie, I'm sorry but you're my kid, my responsibility. I can't just dump you into their laps and tell them to take care of you. I know you spend time there often but legally I just can't leave you-"

"I'm leaving!" I stand up and start to the door but not without hearing her thunderous voice.

"Y/n M/n L/n! Get back here right now!"

"No!" I storm out of the room grabbing my jacket from the desk. Knocking over my notebooks and papers. I reach the front door and escape to the outside world. Not exactly sure where my feet were going to take me next. However one thing I knew was that the tower was a perfect refuge. I headed to the subway and found myself only a few blocks away. I exited the subway and reached the top of the stairs. Still a bit tired from the run here. I wiped my now dry tears and approached the front door. Employees could be seen walking around and staring at me intensely.

"Ms. Y/n, it is nice to see you, are you searching for anyone in particular?" Friday asked, a bit more human than normal. The inflexions in the animated voice and emotions could be heard lingering in each nuance of the words. I scanned the crowd speedily, not exactly sure what I was doing here. "Ms. Y/n?" I could so easily hear the whispers and see their eyes so vividly following my every movement. How my jacket unnecessarily scratched and prodded at my skin. The rapid beating of my heart as if it was attempting to escape the confines of my chest.

"I-uh.. I um- I don't know anymore..."

"Y/n! What're you-fiică your crying.." (Daughter) Dad slowly approached me. "N/n, come here. What's going on inside that head of yours?"

"I don't wanna go.."

"You're not going anywhere. Not if I have anything to do about it. Come on..."
