Chapter 1- The Game

      "I'll be right there mom!" Jakob said as he rushed to get dressed. He put on a random shirt, sweatpants, and threw a hoodie on top. He ran downstairs, grabbed a bagel and ran out the door to catch the bus. He barely caught it and went to the back. He sat in his usually spot next to his best friend, Keira. Keira knew that Jakob was gay since she was the only person he told. She was also good friends with a guy named Cruz but they haven't hung out in a while because he was "busy with football".

     They got off the bus and headed into school. Jakob walked into his first period, history and was slightly annoyed by the weird gay girls laughing at something in the back. They were laughing at a green and blue bean bag. He never understood why they found it so funny so he decided to ask. "What's so funny?" Jakob asked the group of girls. "It's just gay stuff lol" one of them said. Jakobs desperately wanted to tell them he was gay but knew he probably shouldn't. He was always so jealous how they could be so open about it, especially because one was even wearing a gay pin on her mask.

     It was lunch time and he went to go find Keira. He found her a table close to the back. He sat next to her and looked to his left were the table with the joks were sitting. One of them instantly caught his eye, he had dirty blonder hair that was almost brown, brown eyes, and was wearing some sort of jersey. He found himself staring for way to long at the boy. "Jakob are you even listening to me!" Jakob snapped out of his gaze and pulled his attention to Keira. "Yeah totally, that was hilarious" Jakobs said followed by a obvious fake laugh. "I told you how I think my dads about to die..." Keira yelled to Jakob. She was pretty loud so no one was really surprised when Keira thoughtlessly yelled that in the middle of the cafeteria.

     It was now close to the end of the day and Keira had told him how there was a football game tonight and he had to go since she was a cheerleader. He agreed not thinking much of it.

      "Omg we're gonna be late it you don't hurry up!" Jakob yelled to Keira while she was getting ready. After about 10 minutes she was finally ready. They got in the car and left to the school. It was almost 8:00pm and the game started at 8 so they had to hurry. They just barely made it on time and Jakob found a seat on the bleachers near this really tall guy wearing black. He heard a whistle which he assumed that meant the game was starting.

     It was a about 20 minutes into the game and he noticed the same boy from lunch. The name of his Jersey read Corliss so he assumed it was his last name. He caught himself staring again but didn't stop himself since he figured that he wouldn't see him. Oh was he wrong. The dirty blonde looked directly into his eyes. They made eye contact for about 10 seconds into the other man had the ball thrown to him. That left Jakob a blushing mess.

     After the game Jakob wanted to wash his hands bc they were sticky. He went into the men's bathroom not expecting anyone in there. He walked in and he saw someone sitting on the floor holding his knees sobbing. Jakob tried to see who it was.

It was him
