.Kongpob was having all kind of mixed feelings at the moment. But anger and sorrow was crowning almost every other. The tears rolling down almost blurred his vision. But he kept striding fast towards the only place that could calm himself.
The lake.
Once he reached his usual spot he let himself fall in a swish move. All he wanted to is to have a gun to his head and being told not to let his heart beat anymore.
Of course it still beats. No matter how many times he tried. And now just like the heart that goes on his lungs will inhale whether air or briny water.
In the moment that the coolness rushes in he knew he would be dead. In moments he will float like the sea weed, nothing more than flesh and bones ready to decay in the currents. He doesn't want to be saved, he doesn't want a rescuing hand to tow him back to life, to the world without that soft smile.
The eyes that haunted him for years were visible clearly. The ever brown doe ones. Making him succumb to the darkness. A familiar pale hand adorning with his favourite platinum bracelet tried to reach him and all he wanted at the moment was try to reach it with all his will. It brought him back to the Pandora box that he doesn't dare to open just yet.

The examination room was quiet as Doctor Krist typed away at his console. The fair doctor that everyone loved around the hospital. The hospital has to deal with a military base nearby and currently the Captain had an entirely new crew, which left the doctor with a mountain of work.
There were medical and physical examinations to complete, with a stream of crewmen and women filtering in and out of his office all day.
He couldn't help but be impressed as he took blood pressure and heart-rates and spoke to the crew about their personal and medical histories. The Captain, it appeared, had chosen his crew well. They were excellent specimens, most were in perfect mental and physical health.
Of course, there was one member in particular that all the crew almost held in a quiet awe. But not many knew much about the man beyond what was reported in the news. He came from a family who had a tradition of serving in the armed forces, whether army, air force or navy.
His family name could be traced back to the service of his great grandparents. Then there was his own service record itself. He was a member of an elite band of servicemen. The best of the best. But nearly everyone knew him as the man who saved a colony.
Unlike what the crew thinks of him, the Captain was certainly not the gruff soldier anyone expected. The doctor very well know how quiet and thoughtful the man is. He had to resist a grin of his own forming just by thinking about the captain. Definitely he has to calm his racing heart before anyone could see his now flushed face.
He shook the memory of the tanned man and their little escapade over the weekend from his mind, a slight smile on his lips for a second, before he focused on the job at hand again.
But it was only a few minutes of peace before the door opened. He looked up to see Doctor Mike the hospital's chief doctor in the doorway, a concerned look on his face. He was out of his chair immediately.
"How can I help, Chief?"
"There have been two incidents, Kit. I'm sorry to report that we've lost the newbie Sammy."
Krist couldn't help but grimace. Sammy had been a good kid. He hadn't known her long, but there was no doubting her enthusiasm in serving.
The crew are going to miss her. There are not many cheerful ones like her anymore.
"In addition to that, they are smuggling two fresh hearts as we speak. You really have to talk to him about this Kit!"
Krist took a deep breath and nodded. It really is about time for him to discuss this matter with Captain Suthiluk his new husband.
It was merely six months since Krist moved to the government hospital based in Nam Phong district in Khon Kaen. This is due to his boyfriend of ten years finally decided to stick as a Captain in the said military base. Also the chief doctor Mike was his former professor.
Having super good thoughts about the place Doctor Krist walked in the hospital thinking of finally finding his dream place to build a family. Not to mention the house that his now husband got for them was the absolute beauty. He even gets to play his piano facing the serene lake.
What Krist never have thought was that, he'll find out that there was organ smuggling taking place in the hospital. He have no idea how dare the directors get involved in this. That's when he started investigating about this and got to know that DR Mike is also aware about the issue. Since then both of them started to research together and got a hunch that the Minister of Health is involved in this issue.
Once he was done with his shift Krist head back home. Entering his house was as to return to his cocoon for the starlight hours. It was his chance to become stronger amid the black, his heart singing all the clearer by daylight.
The sweet smell of honey hit his nose. It must be his husband making pancakes again. After a long day of smelling alcohol and medicine he feels more human right now. It smells safe for him.
Krist walked straight into the kitchen and saw his man poring honey on the stacks of pancake. He engulfed the tanned half naked body in his embrace and inhaled the unique musky smell of his husband.
"Welcome home Dr Krist Perawat Suthiluk. Captain Kongpob Suthiluk at your service."
"Well I'm afraid you're putting honey on the wrong stack Captain!"
