Once Caroline entered the common room, she realized the gryfindors were heading to their dorms. She quickly started looking for familiar faces. There they were.

"Look who it is! The new celebrity of Hogwarts!" said Lee "People now talk more about you then Harry Potter!" George nodged her while talking. Something as simple made her happy. She had gotten herself good friends already.

"Speaking of the devil..." Fred grabbed Harry who was accompanied by a ginger and a girl. Finnaly a girl.

"Harry meet Linny!" "You two should probably get along!" George added to his brother.

Harry Potter. Even locked up at home with only books, occasionally newspapers and Remus' stories to entertain her, she had heard of him. The chosen one.

"Hi. Sorry for stealing the spotlight" "No need to feel sorry. It gets overwhelming, really" He seemed like a nice guy. They smiled at each other.

Out of nowhere the girl jumped into the conversation "Apologies for interrupting. I'm Hermione Granger and this is Ron Weasley" Caroline imediatly looked at the twins who were already nodding their heads with a sad expression.

"It's nice to meet you two. I assume you already know my name" "Well yes, everyone's talking about what happened earlier. We also met your father on the way here. He protected us from a dementor" told her Hermione.

"Thank your father by the way. I didn't get the chance to" asked Harry "Sure will"

"Oh right how is the whole being in all houses anyways?" questioned Lee "It's a complicated situation but I have until tomorrow to decide what to do. For now I'm basically a gryfindor"

"Good luck with that then" said Fred.

She had stayed the night in Hermione's dorm. There was an empty bed there and the other ones were occupied by some girls who received her pretty well.

As Caroline was getting ready for the first day of classes she realized she didn't see her cat until now. That damn cat.

"Hey Hermione have you seen a cat during the night by any chance?"

"Crookshanks? Oh don't worry he's pretty calm. You won't even notice him"

"No I meant Monny, my cat"

"Sorry no. Crookshanks is always missing aswell. Cats are kind of like that"

"Yeah, he barely leaves the house so I guess he's just exploring. Maybe he even ran into yours"

During the day they had Divination with professor Trelawney and Care of Magical Creatures with Rubeus Hagrid, both classes being, well, unexpected. At this point Caroline couldn't really be suprised by anything though.

In Divination they read tea leaves. Professor Trelawney was odd and clumsy, still she seemed sweet and her crazy side was pretty funny. She just thought that scaring a boy near her about his grandmother was unnecessary.

Divination might be fascinating yet to Caroline somethings were best kept a secret. Isn't it better to only suffer when required? The anticipation only makes the suffering bigger. To top it, divination is not an exact science so the poor boy could be worrying about something that won't even happen.

To Harry was also given upsetting news. Apparently his cup had the Grim. An omen of death. Divination was starting to look rather like a hoax.

After that the class was dismissed. Unfortunately Caroline couldn't read anything in her cup, but Hermione shared the same opinion has her. Divination is not something we can rely on.

The Forest was really nice and they got to meet Buckbeak, an hippogriff. Hopefully next time they would be able to get closer to it. Thanks to that platinum blonde haired bully she didn't have the chance.

The way he had acted towards Harry pissed her off. Even with the broken arm being clearly an act she kind of wished it wasn't.

Now the four were in the dinning hall doing homework and suddenly all bundle up to read the news about Sirius Black. Caroline stayed in her seat. Her dad didn't really like her reading The Daily Prophet and told her it wasn't as trust worthy as it seemed. The news being about that one individual made her curious though.

Despite hers and Hermione's attempts to assure Harry about how the omen meant nothing, he was still startled. Ron wasn't helping either. It seemed as if Harry felt personally threatened by Sirius Black as he felt instantly worse after seeing the newspapers. She simply connected the dots. Maybe they were hiding something from her...

She had enough of her own problems. The time to answer Dumbledore was coming. Caroline started to scribble something her journal and meanwhile the trio had left. She knew what she wanted, yet doubt was slowly getting to her.

The bleached haired boy and his friends passed by her looking Caroline up and down. She got up and decided to check if the Headmaster was in his office. The waiting was killing her.

The halls were full of students unlike the day before. When she reached her destination she saw Dumbledore standing up looking towards her direction, almost as if he was expecting her visit already.

She spoke breathless after scurrying to his encounter.

"I want to be in all houses"

"Very well then. Let's talk"
