On a dark and chilly Friday evening, Jenny was inside her home preparing dinner for herself. Her boyfriend, Jason, was called in to work, which ended up canceling their date they had planned earlier that day. Jenny wasn't upset because they could just make plans for another time. Jason still felt a bit sad about it.
"I'm sorry baby, the boss wanted me to come in. And besides, we could use the extra money, ya know?"
"Baby, I'm not mad. It's okay," Jenny switched ears and held the phone up to her left ear. "We'll just schedule it another time, okay?"
"Okay. You sure it's alright?"
"Well, it's going to have to be, isn't it?" Jenny joked.
"Haha, true. Anyways, how about tomorrow? I don't have to work tomorrow. We can go out for dinner," Jason suggested.
"That sounds nice. Pick me up at eight?"
"Yup."
"Okay, sweetie. See you then. Have fun at work! Though, I don't think you're supposed to be making personal calls while on the job, hmm?"
Jason chuckled, "Let's hope I don't get caught. Anyways, see you tomorrow. Goodnight and sweet dreams. Love you!"
"Love you too, sweetie."
Jenny hung up the phone and looked out the window. It was raining fiercely and didn't look like it would stop anytime soon. The street lights were on, and still, Jenny couldn't even see the other side of the street.
"Haha, looks spooky outside," Jenny shook her head at the thought and laughed. "Maybe a little tv will cure my boredom. Nothing good will be on with my luck."
Jenny flipped through the channels, but didn't see a show or a movie she liked. So, instead, she decided to call it a night and go to bed a little after nine o'clock.
She walked upstairs and changed into a pair of pajama bottoms and put on a thin long sleeved sweater since she still felt rather cold. She went to the bathroom, brushed her teeth, winked at herself in the mirror, then headed off to bed.
Jenny was in for the night of her life.
*Three hours later*
The digital clock in her bedroom clicked to twelve o'clock. Midnight. The red numbers on the clock lit up the room up with a soft fade of color, but hadn't fully filled it enough to see entirely.
The rain hit against her window and it began to thunder. Her window sounded like it was starting to crack, which caused Jenny to sit up in bed a look over at it.
"What the fuck, why can't I just go to sleep without being bothered with all this stupid noise and crap? Jenny sighed, then pulled the covers over her head.
Out from nowhere, a figure suddenly evaporated into the room as if by magic. The figure didn't move; it stood there and watched Jenny toss and turn gently in her bed, almost as if it were thinking to itself.
"Hello, there," spoke a soft and feminine voice.
"What the-" Jenny pulled the covers down and screamed as she saw a dark figure standing on the other side of her room. "Who the fuck are you!? And why are you in my house!? How the hell did you even get IN my house!?"
"Wow, you have quite a mouth on you. I like it," giggled the woman.
"What the fuck are you doing in my house. Answer me!" yelled Jenny.
"Oh, nothing big, really. Well, it depends on what you mean by 'big'," the woman giggled evilly to herself.
"You still didn't answer my question. Nevermind. You know what? If you don't go, I'm calling the police. My boyfriend is on duty and he will kick your ass if he finds out you did anything to me."
