Art by quosic on tumblr(I think, however I'm unsure)

A/n: Since this is likely going to be one in a series, should I make Saimatsu a part of a later book? Naegiri is going to be in this book(slightly), and Oumasai is out of the picture(not because I dislike the ship, but because based on the plot I have planned, it won't fit very well.), so I might include it. Naegiri might also be more relevant in another book(If a write another one), but Idk.

Just a thought.

London, United Kingdom, 1903

Kyoko walked away, tired of the minor who had just become her partner. However, Saihara just followed her.

"Miss?" He yelled.

She turned around. "Yes?"

"I-I don't have y-your name. I-it'll be a little hard to work together if you d-don't have my name..." He looked at the ground, most likely embarrassed.

Kyoko smiled. His stutter reminded her of her neighbor Toko Fukawa. He was kind of adorable.

Not in a creepy way, of course. Saihara's a minor, Kyoko isn't.

"Kyoko Kirigiri, at your service." She answered finally.

Saihara brightened and looked up. "Thank you Miss Kirigiri! Where should I meet you tomorrow?"

"We can discuss that later." Kyoko answered.

"Excuse me, Miss, but you haven't given me any way to contact you, so that'd be impossible. If you give me your address, we can communicate through letter, but that'd take too-"

"Let's have tea, okay?"

Shuichi awkwardly sat down at the small table, slightly uncomfortable. Miss Kirigiri had invited him over for tea, which he accepted, but he didn't inform his mum or dad. So he was, in all honestly, going over to an adult's(which he doesn't truly know) house without permission from his parents.

But this was Miss Kirigiri were talking about! She's so incredible, she could never do anything wrong!

The reason he was slightly uncomfortable was because of the size of the house. It was quite...small. Shuichi wasn't incredibly wealthy or anything, but he did live in a wealthier neighbourhood, and the houses were quite large, especially compared to this.

Location wise, Shuichi and Kirigiri lived on opposite sides of London. Kirigiri lived in Eastern London, which was quite far from the Clock Tower. Shuichi would most likely go from a nearby station to Central London, as it's much quicker and less tiring, but it's possible, based on her house, that Miss Kirigiri wasn't able to afford taking the train to everywhere she needed to go for her profession.

Shuichi, on the other hand, lived slightly west of Central London, in a col de sac. His neighbours were all pretty snobby, except for an Irish girl who used lived opposite to him named Tenko Chabashira, who was in his college class, but she hated him because of her odd hatred for men. However, she moved back to Ireland 6 months ago, as her family wasn't satisfied living in the UK.

Shuichi's thoughts were interrupted by Kirigiri's loud boots-which she hadn't bothered to take off-walking towards him. She sat down opposite of him. She had taken her blazer off, revealing the white blouse she had been wearing under it.

"The tea's not quite ready yet." She said. "So while we wait, tell me about yourself."

"Uh, I'm Shuichi Saihara, I'm 17, and I was born and raised in Western Wales, but my family moved here 3 years ago." Shuichi said.

Kirigiri raised her eyebrows. "Wow. I didn't even notice your Welsh accent, but now that I know it's there, I can hear it. Do you speak Welsh?"

Shuichi nodded.

"I don't know how, so maybe you could teach me?"

"Wrth gwrs Miss Kirigiri!" Shuichi exclaimed in Welsh.

Translation: Of course Miss Kirigiri!

"What did you just say?" She asked.

"I said yes." He said. "Do you want me to teach you now?"

Kirigiri shook her head. "Later. After we find your friend." She smiled warmly.

Shuichi felt a pang of guilt for lying to her.

Now that he thought about it, why did she believe him? There's absolutely no proof that they were friends. Did she even believe him? There's no way to tell.

Shuichi's thoughts were interrupted by a knocking on the door. Miss Kirigiri stood up and answered the door.

"Oh, hello Makoto."
