I watched as my mother fixed the dress of my sister, Onika. we were to be updating our blimp ballon. So for the time being we would be staying at our Grand parents house. we had gotten all dressed up for the dinner we were to have, truth be told I never understood the purpose of giving out pleasantries. especially around grandfather, he rarely conversed with any one. Grandma was the one who would place on a sickly sweet fake smile. each time I saw it sickened me to the core, the way she would widen her glassy eyes, where I could see all the hidden pain, and gush about how much we've grown. Well that's what all grandmas do right? Well I wouldn't know she's the only grandma I've ever met. Actually my grandparents, parents, Onika, and my dead pal Victor were the only people I've ever met. After the the nuclear war, including The United States, Canada, Japan, Israel, Russia. and all countries in Europe, caused by a "misunderstanding" where Nigeria was transporting air missiles, a secret government file regarding the attack on all of western Europe was found from those missiles. before the situation could be diffused many countries started riots claiming attack, some countries blamed the Americans, where many fled to Canada.
Others blamed the Japanese. Some blamed the Russians, no one really knew for sure how or where the file came from. But speculation which was later determined that the file was purposely placed there by an unknown Canadian individual, to cause an uproar. In the blink of an eye Canada was bombed, what was then a beautiful chilly country, is now nothing but decayed bones, ash, debris, and burned trees. The war caused radiation levels to rise by 500 REM. From there on out people would get sick and vomit, "The waling dead" is what they called it, said person would be fine for a couple of days. But they could never survive past two weeks.
But that's all I've ever heard about World War 3, the same one people on earth loved to joke about. Well their dream came true. And from now on the only phrase I've been taught, the only phrase anyone living in the skies has ever been taught.
"Be careful what you wish for."
