Experiencing loss is a part of life, some people lose their first love, some lose the harmony in their relationship, some people lose their hope, others lose patience, while others lose their soul, some lose their certainties, and some have nothing to lose.

Jon sat with Luka listening to him play guitar leaning on Adrien's shoulder. Everything felt right he didn't want to lose either of them.

Andre and Audry were planning their anniversary and getting ready for the ceremony when everything went wrong. Hawkmoth had been planning this and made sure his son wasn't there in the fallout and sent him out to do whatever he wanted with Jon.

Marinette was standing in the corner watching Damian fidget uncomfortably next to a bunch of men who looked a lot like him. Mar'i was there too and the purple haired girl waved at her.

"Dad, that's Marinette," Mar'i whispered to Dick who looked at the girl.

"Aw they would look perfect together," Dick said nudging Tim who in turn nudged Jason and it went down the line through Steph, Cass, Kate, Barbara, and finally Bruce.

"I can see it," Bruce said from the end and made the whole batclan laugh. Damian just sighed from next to Kory.

"They are only joking in good fun, she does seem nice though, is she not good looking?" Kory asked and Damian's face heated up.

"For a bunch of detectives you're crap at your job, that girl is Kent's cousin," Damian said and Bruce looked back for a moment.

"Oh I know."

"That girl has the Superman blood?" Tim asked.

"She's so tiny," Jason added and suddenly Marinette was right next to him.

"Can I help you find something?" Marinette asked and Mar'i ran up to her giving her a hug.

"Listen Dami really doesn't want to be here but if gramps thinks he went off with a lady," Mar'i winked "he'd be a little more forgiving." Marinette seemed to catch her implications.

"I have to help my family," Marinette said holding a box.

"Oh, we can get that for you, there's nine of us," Mar'i said.

"These are all your relatives?" Marinette asked.

"Yup, Dick and Kory Grayson, my parents, Kate Kane is Bruce's cousin, Steph, and Cass were adopted as well as Tim and Jason and Barbara over there is along for the ride," Mar'i said and Marinette was confused as to how people who were adopted could look so similar.

Marinette looked over to Damian and nodded to Mar'i who gave her a thumbs up and got in the elevator.

"So, um Mar'i said you didn't want to be here and if we hung out then you didn't have to, kind of weird but I don't really wanna be here either," Marinette shrugged and Damian looked over at her.

"Perhaps we should spend more time together, Jon has been complaining about how I didn't take the time to get to know you," Damian said taking Marinette's hand dragging her out the door. "Where should we go? I haven't done that much sight seeing," Damian said and Marinette shook herself out of her dangerous thoughts as to where this outing was going and put on a smile.

"Well there is this guy who makes the best ice cream in the world," Marinette suggested and Damian sighed.

"I don't think that's going to work, I'm a vegan," Damian said and Marinette turned red.

"They don't use milk in the ice cream, one of my friends has a lactose allergy so we asked if they use milk and he said no, very careful about allergies and dietary regulations," Marinette said smiling and Damian sighed and took her hand before looking at her telling her to lead the way.

Suddenly over them was a giant head that was sucking people in.

It looked at the two holding hands and went after them but Damian picked up Marinette and started running, jumping up a wall until he got to the roof of a building.

"How did you do that?" Marinette asked feet touching the ground.

"My family all had combat training, anything can happen in Gotham," Damian said. For a second he considered telling her the truth but what if she didn't like it or ran away? Damian didn't think he could deal with that.

"Why are you on a roof?" A female voice asked from behind Damian and he turned around to see Starfire and Nightwing staring at him. Damian gave his brother a look which caused Nightwing's eyes to widen.

"Let's uh get you two out of here, Star you take the girl I'll take this kid," Nightwing said and Starfire nodded taking Marinette's hand.

"Do you know of a um, Nightfire?" Marinette asked.

"Ah, yes my daughter, she is off fighting the bad guy with Superboy and a boy dressed as a black cat," Starfire said putting Marinette down in front of the bakery that the younger pointed at.

"Oh, um, ok," Marinette said running inside transforming in her room and then popping out to help her friends.

Robin ran past the hotel and saw Mayura on the roof talking to Chloe.

"That can't be good," Robin said and Superboy came flying past him and some sort of beam was shooting at him.

"Oh my God Robin thank Rao," Superboy said hugging his friend before flying them both into the air doing maneuvers to get them out of the way of being shot.

Superboy stopped on the roof putting Robin down and just as a beam was about to hit them, the monster disappeared.

Ladybug saw the couple falling from the sky, it was strange, Hawkmoth had never taken back an akuma before so why? Ladybug pushed her thoughts aside and caught Audrey while Superboy caught Andre.

"I guess I won't be needing this," Ladybug said holding up the dragon miraculous. Ladybug swang away and saw Luka sitting on a bench looking around. She detransformed and walked over to her older friend.

"Hey Luka, what are you doing here all alone?" Marinette asked sitting next to him and a pained smile appeared on his face.

"I was waiting for Jon and Adrien to come back but it's been twenty minutes, they probably forgot about me or something," Luka said and Marinette made a reminder to punch her cousin as hard as she could.

"I know how it feels when the person you love doesn't love you back and I'm so sorry Luka," Marinette said hugging the guitarist. They both stood there hugging each other until a horde of bees came after them.
