Subway Falls

Chapter 7

After boarding the plane, you and the team discussed the case for a few minutes. Once everybody was left to their own devices, you sat down next to Reid as he began reading again. Just before you put your earbuds in, you heard him harumph at Harry's latest decision. You giggled slightly and he turned to glare at you. He held your gaze for a few seconds before turning his attention back to the book. You shook your head and turned your music on. A few songs into the Youngblood Chronicles, Spencer tapped you on the shoulder.

"Hmm?" you asked after pausing Death Valley.

"Seriously, Sirius? But Harry needs him!" Spencer spoke once he had your full attention. You laughed at his sincerity.

"Yes, Spencer Reid. I know," you patted his arm jokingly. He froze at your touch. You gave him a small smile and removed your hand.

"But now we're down to two Mauraders. And one of them," he glared at the book, "works for You-Know-Who."

"Spencer Reid tell me right now that you are not afraid to say his name," you spoke. He didn't respond and you immediately knew.

"Oh my gosh. Spencer Reid, fear of a name only increases fear of the thing itself. Are you seriously scared to say Voldemort?" you asked.

"Shush!" he half-yelled. You laughed at his irrational fear of a fictional character.

"You're more of a Hermione type aren't you? Nervous but sensible," you spoke after the laughter subsided.

"Whatever you say (Y/N)," he mockingly rolled his eyes at you. You giggled at him and Morgan turned to stare at the both of you. You laughed with him and Reid turned bright red.

"So does Voldemort," Reid shuddered, "get any stronger?"

"Depends on how you look at it," you smirked while not revealing any information. He groaned sarcastically and you laughed some more.

"Since I brought the next book I'm gonna see what horrible decision Harry makes next," Spencer smiled at you and then turned to his other side. He put the book away and brought out Half-Blood Prince.

"Yeah have fun!" you smiled and put your earbuds back in. You turned Save Rock and Roll on. You passed out around "Just One Yesterday".
